About This Beer

The confectioners at Lakewood brewed this decadent dark beer with chocolate, peanuts, lactose, and a touch of sea salt.

Tasting Notes

Each sip fills your mouth with flavors of café au lait alongside luxurious milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. It’s like biting into a silky-smooth Reese’s PB Cup, followed by a sip of freshly roasted coffee.

Tasty, from reviews and price was expecting a little more thickness and a bigger peanut butter punch, but it’s clean, hides ABV completely, and would be a go to shelf beer if nearby.

Really easy drinking, peanut buttery goodness. A bit thin, but that did not detract from it's deliciousness.

Wow this did not taste like a 9.1%! I thoroughly enjoyed the opening bite of chocolate and coffee that led to a peanut butter cup, with final notes of salt to pull it together. Sad I only got 1! :(

Smells nutty and hoppy but it’s really not that bad. When it’s cold, it tastes roasty. As it warms up you can taste the chocolate and peanut butter.

Why bother unless you are going to bring something new to the table? It was tasty and I'd be happy to drink it anytime but it's just another PB stout.

Let it warm a bit before drinking. I’d like more of the peanut butter and lactose to come through

Can really taste the peanut butter and salted pretzel. It mixes really well with the dark, chocolatey grain bill backbone. Yum!

You get just enough of that peanutbutter and saltiness in each sip. You wouldn't be able to tell its 9.1% ABV if you didn't read the label first.

Would not be able to tell it was a 9.1% abv. Kudos on that. It was decent, but nothing stood out for me to want to get it again.

The peanut flavor works nicely with the hint of chocolate without either being too overpowering. Like Halloween for adults.

Good head from a temptress is all I need to conclude my day. And this “Peanut Butter Temptress” Milk Stout from Lakewood Brewing(TX) had a good head on it. And it tastes like a Reese’s cup with a coffee finish.

I give this beer two stars for the effort it took to make it and the fact that it’s 9%ABV. If you want your beer to taste like chocolate then you will like this. It was not to my liking.

Good flavor and smooth to drink. Definitely doesn’t take like 9%. It has a creaminess to it, but the peanut butter is lacking.

3.04/5 look: 3.5 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 2.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3 Poured from a 12 ounce can without a date into a snifter. Look- Black, sudsy medium brown head, visible particulate near the edges, opaque, extremely below average head retention and lacing. Smell- Burnt oats, peanut, chocolate, weak strength of scent. Taste- Overwhelming burnt oats, super slight peanut, high strength of flavor (undesirable burnt oats). Feel- Between thin and medium body, moderately bitter, average carbonation. Overall- Black appearance, but extremely below average head retention. Weak bouquet with peanut and burnt oats. Flavor profile was dominated by an undesirable strong burnt oat flavor. Feel was thinner than expected with average carbonation. Overall the flavors were not very appealing and the bouquet was much more understated than expected.
