A Note on This Beer
Today’s 4.23 UT-rated NEIPA features not one, but TWO delicious, experimental hop varietals!
That’s right! The Forgotten Road crew double dry-hopped this Hazy with Yakima Chief’s annual Veterans Blend. Every year, YCH invites 23 veteran brewers to participate in the remarkable hop selection — including Ben Farrar, head brewer and co-owner of Forgotten Road!
Thrilling and utterly unique, the blend boasts Idaho 7, Ekuanot, Azacca Hops alongside luxuriously brûlée-like HBC 630 and oaky HBC 472 Hops!
Mouthwateringly rare, complex currents of cherry, caramelized banana, coconut cream, and woody vanilla course through every sip — courtesy of the HBC 472 and 630. Tangy citrus, candied peach, juicy pineapple, and herbaceous pine seamlessly weave into the distinctly one-of-a-kind hop notes.
With the ability to finesse so many intricately tasty flavors out of the hops, it’s no wonder Forgotten Road is Untappd’s #2 nanobrewery in North Carolina. In a state with 350+ breweries and brewpubs, that’s dang impressive!
Forgotten Road Ales’ founders, husband and wife Ben and Janee Farrar, are both certified Cicerones! Every beer they brew has to be approved by both beer know-it-alls!
