National Cat Day
Listermann Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
October 29 was officially National Cat Day. But now, craft fans can keep the spirit alive and make every day a Caturday. The feline lovers at Listermann Brewing just released National Cat Day IPA, and it’s time to celebrate!
With its juicy blend of Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe Hops, this New England IPA is chock-full of bold and memorable character, much like your favorite furry friend. Even a “dog person” will have a tough time resisting the meowth-watering combination of pithy grapefruit, earthy pine, and bright citrus flavors!
Each mouthful starts with a burst of zesty citrus followed by a hint of ripe berry. The subtlety and blend of these succulent fruit notes makes for one smooth-sipping pour. It’s all too easy to keep lunging after sips, like Mittens chasing a laser pointer.
After a few nips of National Cat Day, we bet you’ll be inspired to scour the web for the latest in kitten antics: accidental fish-bowl fall-ins, tissue box contortionism, or the classic “swipe the thing and watch it fall.” With its easy 6.6% ABV, you can enjoy a couple cans while lining up the next compilation.
A note of caution: Keep the glass close at hand. The tangy aromas of this brew are enough to make your own curious kitty wake up from his catnap to steal a taste!
*Listermann won gold in 2019 at both the GABF and US Beer Open!

Classic hop combo but feels empty in the middle
Light. Easy drinker. Fun label.
Hidden gem of the crate I had. Super soft mouthfeel and excellent juicy/ripe citrus flavor profile. Citra really comes out in this one, but man, such a solid beer!
Best can art ever. Very strong grapefruit taste and the simcoe hops...outstanding.
Very smooth and juicy. No hair balls in my throat.
Drinkable wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst either. Just your average Cat brew!
Can was better than the beer
Solid IPA. Got it mostly for the label
Far from purr-fect.
Only reason I got was the label
4.11/5 look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4 Poured from a 16 ounce can into an IPA glass. Look- Sudsy white head, pale straw, hazy, above average head retention, average lacing. Smell- Very fragrant, melon, mango, slight citrus. Taste- Melon, clementine. Feel- Thin body, average carbonation, low bitterness, slightly astringent lingering finish. Overall- Good flavor, but lacked complexity.
Crisp, clean, and refreshing. Very much on the lighter side for an IPA, but enjoyable. And the can is unmatched.
