More Than Suitable
A Note on This Beer
When choosing an IPA, it’s important to ask yourself, is it Suitable?
Is it suitable for the beer drinker with incredibly high standards?
Today you can snag two of Adventurous Brewing’s stellar-rated Imperial IPAs. Their Suitable Double IPA earns an admirable 4.34 and their More Than Suitable Triple IPA clocks in at a massive 4.57 from the beer geeks on Untappd!
Is it suitable for a hop aficionado?
The brewery double dry-hopped both of them with choice Citra, Mosaic, and Strata for a tropical citrus tsunami of dank orange-pineapple, berry, and ruby red grapefruit. Beer nerd @Mark F calls Suitable, “Damn delicious! Very dangerous at 8.5% ABV. It will sneak up on you.” We agree, and the More Than Suitable Triple IPA version is even bolder with a well hidden 10.2% ABV!
Is it suitable for the discerning beer fan who wants their brews made by the cream of the crop?
Adventurous is the highest-rated brewery in Iowa* — a state with some very heavy-hitters!
Is it suitable for you?

*Adventurous has a 4.27 brewery rating on UT, the highest in their state!

Tasty triple. A hazy, tropical ipa. I like citrus, piney, floral IPAs the best. Tropical is the latest fad but not my favorite.
Goes down like a double
This high ABV might have been overkill
Very smooth, high abv sneaks up on you. Nice citrus/hop flavor but also a bit of a bitter taste (which is absent from the Suitable)
Fantastic IPA. Smooth, piney, crisp. A must try for an IPA over 10% ABV.
Tropical and juicy upfront with hoppy backend that reminds you that it is a triple
Smooth, juicy, hoppy, not too sweet. Very good.
Smooth. Hides 10% well
Juicy and hazy, sweet boozy finish
Big sweet ripe citrus. Excellent
JUICE. BOMB. Suitable was yummy. This is even better! Mango, peach, pineapple goodness with the perfect touch of bitter to clean all the sweet up at the end
Fantastic!!! Would never have guessed it was over 10% ABV.
4.41/5 look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5 Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter. Look- Deep gold, hazy, fine white head, average lacing, slightly below average head retention. Smell- Melon, clementine, pine resin. Taste- Vibrant flavor, clementine, pine resin, pineapple, melon, slightly boozy finish. Feel- Medium body, low bitterness, creamy, average carbonation, soft, mouth warming, slight lingering boozy finish. Overall- I would consider this beer MUCH more than suitable!
I simply loved this beer. Clean, delicious, and powerful. Second beer from this brewery and both have been excellent.
Big and juicy with just a little hint of heat to remind you what it's packing.
juicy, hazy, hoppy, fruity, sweet
