A Note on This Beer
After 16 months spent slumbering in Woodford Reserve Bourbon Barrels, today’s Imperial Stout drips with notes of gooey caramel, rich baker’s chocolate, and hints of burnt sugar.
If that sentence alone makes your mouth water, you’re going to want a taste of Monogrammatic from Revision Brewing Company. If I had to describe this beer with an actual monogram, I’d only need 3 letters: WOW.
That’s what came out of my mouth after the first sip, and then silence as I basked in the decadent, whiskey-laced flavors. At 14.1% ABV, it’s one of the booziest beers we’ve ever seen from Revision, but it goes down dangerously smooth.
That’s to be expected with this Nevada brew crew — this is the 6th time we’ve managed to snag one of their BA Stouts, and all the others have 4+ ratings on Tavour. If you were lucky enough to taste any of them, you won’t be surprised that Thrillist praises Revision as The Best Brewery in Nevada!
Winter is Stout season, and for those who love a boozy, barrel-aged Dark Beer, the best place to be this time of year is cozied up by the fire with a snifter of Monogrammatic. Ideally, while wearing monogrammed pajamas.
