Prairie Artisan Ales
A Note on This Beer
As millennials say, it’s “cuffing season.”
It’s apparently the time of year “where single people begin looking for short-term partnerships to pass the colder months of the year.”
An interesting concept, yes. But right now, the only short-term fling I’m looking for is the one between myself and my brand-new stash of Millennial Mansion from Prairie Artisan Ales! It’ll keep me PLENTY warm with its dangerously discreet 7.7% ABV.
This Imperial Sour’s dark-magenta hue is swoon-worthy. Those aromas of freshly-picked berries with a squeeze of Meyer lemon juice? Oh me, oh my!
The full-on berry jam notes are blush-inducing from the very first encounter. Prairie adds heaps of fresh blueberries, zesty orange peel, pithy lemon peel, drippy cherry, and creamy marshmallow flavor in each batch of this date night delight.
And, for those on Hinge, Tinder, or really any of those millennial-dating platforms, you’re on the wrong app! ‘Cause you won’t find this blueberries ‘n’ cream treat there this cuffing szn. Only Tavour’s got your back.

Nice balance of tart and fruity berry sweetness
Tart and great berry kettle taste
Nothing like I expected. The after taste very strong. Not fruity at all.
Needs to be really cold but absolutely great!
Good but a bit too sweet for me, definitely taste the marshmallows
Heavy marshmallow. Good fruit choices—could be higher if it wasn’t so sweet.
Nice tart fruit notes and the marshmallow comes through
Tart, fruity, sweet. I enjoyed it
Can taste the berries but the citrus/lemons are a little too much
The marshmallow flavor in this one is off to me. I’m normally a big PA fan but I wouldn’t grab this one again.
Very tasty and fruity! Heavier on blueberry but it works super well together. I want more!
Fruity with a hint of marshmallow. Wish I could taste more of the individual fruits.
Slightly tart, had great flavor
Berry marshmallow juice bomb
Good amount of tartness. Berries! Not bad.
Nice tart flavor and sweet aftertaste but don’t really taste any of the flavors. More of a maple taste
The definition of insanity is to keep buying sours when you have never found one you liked. This one didn’t change my opinion, more pucker than fruit.
Pretty heavy marshmallow flavor. This was a pretty good sour.
Great winter sit by the fire drink
This is a delightful sour ale. Upfront sweet, with crisp undertones, yet tart. Not overtly sour. Initial notes of blueberry and cherry caress the tongue along with an almost lactose taste from the marshmallow, without the creamy thick mouthfeel that lactose provides. There are subtle undertones of acid from citrus that mellows the sweetness, leaving a slight tart impression. This is well balanced and flavorful. More sweet than tart, and not much sour.
Good, light sour. Cherry is the dominant flavor, in my opinion. Sour packs a punch at first, but gets a bit easier as you drink more.
Tart but super good
like eating blueberries and marshmallows smashed together
