Temperance aged the 2022 vintage of their Mexican hot chocolate-inspired brew in rye and bourbon barrels from Few Spirits. And the cocoa-y base has an ultra-smooth character, thanks to four times as much vanilla as last year’s batch.

The inky elixir flickers with spice from dried arbol, New Mexico, and ancho chilis. Meanwhile, espresso powder, toasted cinnamon, and roasted cacao ground the sweet sipper with earthy tones that balance its piquancy.
