The Temperance crew made this Might Meets Right variant by maturing a roasty base in Basil Hayden Toast barrels. All that time in top-shelf oak allowed it to absorb the bourbon’s delectably subtle, brown rice-based caramel nuances.
Tasting Notes
Taking a sip is almost like a mouthful of caramel macchiato — toasty malts and espresso nuances kissed by sweet whiskey toffee tones. Hints of cherry and raisin accentuate the cocoa and bread crust notes. Then smooth, oaky vanilla rounds out the taste.
And it all camouflages a toasty 13.7% ABV.
