A Note on This Beer
There’s a little cafe in my neighborhood that specializes in hot chocolate. They’ve got dark hot chocolate, white hot chocolate, and everything in between.
But my favorite drink by far is their Mexican hot chocolate. On rainy days, I love to curl up in one of their cozy armchairs with a mug in hand, savoring its rich and spicy flavors.
It’s that feeling of pure happiness that I get from each decadent sip of today’s GABF gold medal-winning Mexican Chocolate Stout from Copper Kettle.
This award-winning brew features a trifecta of dried ancho, guajillo, and habanero peppers. Ancho delivers a smoky richness that magnifies the cocoa, while guajillo lends hints of oak. Habanero adds a mellow heat that builds as you drink. That, intertwined with cinnamon sweetness and the bittersweet snap of cocoa, leaves this beer's sweet heat lingering on the palate.
It’s far more complex and flavorful than any mug of cocoa from my neighborhood spot! Not to mention, it comes with a 7% ABV, for a sweet temptation that’s for adults, only.
