About This Beer
To craft Maximón (Bourbon BA Special), the brewers started by loading a roasty Baltic Porter with luscious cocoa, warming cinnamon, and spicy chiles. Then, the Sori crew aged the brew in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for depths of oaky vanilla and woody spice.
Tasting Notes
Each smooth sip is like a creamy Mexican hot chocolate swirling with bourbon and flairs of chili heat.

Deep, robust flavor profile. Complex but also playful. Delicious. Would’ve rated it higher if it had one less thing going on;
like the style saying, before you leave the house remove one item? Like that.

Boozy and warming. Kippis!! Very good stuff. Coffee and cocoa are winners here. The heat on the back end really takes this to the top. I also found a taste of coconut! Wish I ordered more.

Nice maple and chocolate notes with the punch
of bourbon. Wow, now I’m tasting and feeling a spiciness on my tongue and lips.

Great barrel flavor with a tongue tingling cinnamon/habanero pepper touch. The vanilla adds a touch of sweetness. A barley wine-like raisiny flavor comes through on the second half of each sip.

My first Estonian Brew. Paired wonderfully with Spicy garlic pork noodles. The Heaven Hill barrels really bring out the best in this porter.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be my favorite porter of all time. Thanks to Tavour for bringing it to the States! First Estonian beer. Nice tickle on the throat from the peppers was a fantastic finish to the well developed spiced beer. Smooth.

Absolutely worth the price, habanero is definitely there but not overpowering, like a Mexican chocolate cake

excellent beer! the chocolate, habanero, cinnamon meld together well for a Mexican cake beer! do not pass this up if you have a chance to try it!

This is surprisingly good! I’m not a massive fan of chili beers, but the spice in this is nicely balanced by the cinnamon and barrel aging.

Wow, this is pretty dang good for a habanero spiced beer. Its not overpowering with just enough spice to let you know its there. This is a great try.

Interesting- bit spicy and it builds the more I drink it. Cocoa, maybe hint of wintergreen. Split a bottle with couple friends- kind of glad I dont have to drink
the whole bottle as that habanero builds...
