Sweet, but a little thin
This was really good. Surprisingly thick.
Great flavor, thought it was a little boozy but would buy again.
Amazing. Wish I bought 2
Deep chocolatey stout. Great for sharing
Really good- would buy again for sure
Solid with a lot of chocolate notes.
Rich, thick, and caramelly with an abundance of whiskey and oak. Fantastic on a cold winter day!
Smooth and rich with a lot of dark bittersweet chocolate notes. Aging the second bottle so I’ll report back next year for an update.
Super smooth and rich. The Bourbon and whiskey flavors are just enough to not be overpowering. Extremely tasty.
One of the best stouts I’ve had. Like espresso and ice cream, well balanced vanilla and almost a cherry flavor. Comes across very smooth but complex with many flavors working at different times. Medium bodied as well, which makes it easy to drink
Delicious notes of oak and coffee. Nice smooth booze.
Standard Stout. Nothing special
I absolutely loved this. Fabulous BA Stout!
Nice stout with warming, bourbon notes, but a little too much oak for me. A good beer nonetheless.
Reasonably balanced, but a bit hot off the rip. Would drink again, but not rushing back.
Whiskey is very prominent in this beer. Chocolate and coffee notes are subtle and understated. Vanilla appears after beer sets for a little and is a nice addition.
Could have a bit more body. Good Russian Imperial with the barrel adding a more prominent booziness to the beer.
I enjoyed everything of it; one of my favorites
Dark, deep, and delicious.
This is surprisingly light bodied. Almost get a whipped sensation from it. It’s pillowy soft. At first I loved it. Then I started wanting a bit more viscosity so the flavors would linger a bit more. And it is definitely full of flavor. Booze supremely well hidden. Overall a very nice beer .
Bakers chocolate and bourbon
Solid 4 not as good as I was expecting to be honest
Kinda boozy, not really a fan. A step above a drain pour
Extremely balanced this thing is incredible
Outstanding stout. Not overly sweet or boozy. Perfect for sipping in front of the fire.
Last year's was better
A great stout
Not really a 5 but better than a 4. I didn't get the heat a lot of "critics" complained about. I thought this was a super solid no frills BA Stout!
This was a stellar stout. The chocolate notes were so strong I had to check to make sure there weren't adjuncts in there
Thin but a classic BA stout profile
Rich, chocolate, good barrel
Exquisite. The whiskey and bourbon is prominent, but not overpowering. So smooth and flavorful. Chocolate and vanilla notes give it a really nice sweetness.
Tastes like a stout
Great barrel presence
Definitely a RIS - a bit roasty but pretty smooth and not bitter, but not much Barrel.
deep and clean
Chocolate with present barrel
Pretty good, boozy and not overly sweet, very much enjoyed!
This was hands down one of the best Russian imperials I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Smooth, with a beautiful bourbon finish. I wish I’d gotten more than one.
Roasty, boozy and thick. Also getting a licorice flavor. Kind of reminds me of The Abyss.
Great balance of coffee and oak notes, and an overall delicious brew. Cheers!
