About This Beer
After maturing in W.L. Weller Bourbon Barrels, the crew conditioned Machine Convene on Kyle Harrop’s (of Horus fame) “secret vanilla blend” to really play up those classic caramel flavors.
Tasting Notes
This brew’s so new, we haven’t had a chance to taste it yet. But we’re expecting stunning notes of toffee and brown sugar to play beautifully against hints of dark fruit. A touch of tannic oaky and warming whiskey should linger after the finish, keeping the 14.1% ABV nice and smooth.

Look - Pours a very dark brown/reddish color with a small head that goes away quickly.
Smell - Smell is heavenly, with tons of vanilla, some crème brûlée, marshmallow, and W.L. Weller bourbon. VERY nice!
Taste - Taste is amazing as well. LOTS of vanilla goodness, with some really nice Weller bourbon notes, and crème brûlée. Damn this is good!
Feel - Super smooth and very creamy; I'm truly blown away by this barleywine!
Overall - I really enjoyed the Cellarmaker Le Risque, and this has the same foundation, but is also "conditioned on Horus Aged Ales’ custom vanilla blend for an extra layer of decadence." This may be one of the best tasting beers I've ever tried!!!
