Anchorage Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Tales of the werewolf stem from many cultures. Did you know “lycanthropy” occurs when a human transforms into a wolf-like creature during a full moon?
I’m happy to report that I drank today’s Lycanthropy IPA during the last lunar cycle, and I’m still human. Although, it does feel like the robust 8.4% ABV and all those bright and lemony Motueka Hops might’ve put a little extra hair on my chest.
This Imperial IPA has a pour as hazy as night-time clouds, and the grassy notes of a woodland forest. Plus, the brewers pack it with so many citrus hops and real passionfruit, it’ll make anyone howl!
Like any true Alaskan, the crew at Anchorage Brewing knows how fierce the wolf can be. They’ve used that spirit to earn their place on must-try lists all over the nation, including a coveted spot as one of Thrillist’s Best Breweries in America!
If you’ve been missing your pack of friends lately, crack open a can of this brew during your next Zoom call! You’ll no longer feel like the lone wolf.

Smooth and tasty. Anchorage has gained a new fan
Loved this, amazing!
Anchorage Brewery has never disappointed, this IIPA is no different. Some of my favorite beer
WOW! should have bought more
Not one of my favorites from Anchorage... I guess they have spoiled me.
Unique, lemony flavor - enjoyable!
Will buy again!!
Really interesting with being so sour but an “ipa” make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. Sweet, slightly lemon with typical heavy citrus
Likey likey. Batter up!
A bit sour. I would think it's not to be that way. But nice flavor.
The low IBU on this one is what makes it a stand out. Really hazy with very little funkiness, so all you get is that smooth citrus flavor. This surprised the hell out of me.
Maybe it’s “Lycanthropy,” of an IIPA, so if you DON’T think of this as a IIPA (because it’s more of a Sour IPA), you will enjoy it mucho mas!
Good. A bit sour.
Nicely done, can't remember much about it other than it was good.
A very fruity and sour IPA, it is thick and juicy. The passion fruit really stands out in the smell and flavor. The spelt really adds to the body and creaminess of the beer.
Smooth, fruity and amazing
Very good fruity IPA! Not too overpowering IPA flavor
