Le Roar Grrrz Kriek (12-13-17)
A Note on This Beer
As we plunge headlong into winter, I think we could all use a bit of comfort. And, if you’re anything like me, you can find it in today’s Le Roar Grrrz Kriek 12-13-17 from Bullfrog Brewing.
For me, this Montmorency cherry-packed Sour smells — and tastes — just like summertime memories. Like I’m 10 years old, climbing the cherry tree in our front yard, lips stained red with fresh juice.
Except, after 3 years of maturing in Bullfrog’s cellar, this beer has really grown up!
On the nose, it’s like a tart and sparkling cherry cocktail whipped up by a fancy mixologist in a rooftop bar. Take a sip, and a touch of earthy funk comes through, along with hints of woody vanilla from oak barrel conditioning.
Picture enjoying a scoop of homemade cherry sorbet in the sunshine as you sprawl across a freshly mowed lawn, and you’ll get an idea of how delicious this brew is.
So, if you want to relive those warm memories of summers past, grab a bottle or two of Le Roar Grrrz Kriek. Just don’t wait long — like the fleeting days of summer, our little stash of less than 40 cases won’t last forever.

Tart, Cherry, Bright and subtle.
A taste surprising in every way, yet still incredibly crisp
Tart with loads of cherry
This was really good killed the entire bottle alone
Subtle cherry fizz. Aged very nicely.
American Wilds stepping up their game, glad I got two of these!
Rich fruit, lightly sweet and medium tart, funky
Blew me away. Better than expected.
Nice funky cherries. Would've liked a little more funk to compliment the cherries.
Very sophisticated profile and nice fizz
Lots of evervesance
