A Note on This Beer
If you’re going to craft a Lager in Oregon, you better bring your A-game.
That’s because there’s a massive league of competition — Portland is nicknamed ‘Beervana,’ for crying out loud!
And, while the Oregon Beer Award-winners at Little Beast are among the smallest breweries of the bunch, their masterful Lagers have a monster-sized reputation. Here’s what locals have to say about today’s crisp sipper:

The secret is in the skill. The Little Beast crew doesn’t use any crazy adjuncts to make this clean, sweet grain, and fluffy biscuit-flavored crusher! Instead, this brew is the result of meticulous attention to detail and high-quality ingredients, all of them German-grown and processed – Weyermann Premium Pilsner malt, Carafoam malt, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, GR Perle, and Mandarina Bavaria Hops, plus a dose of Augustiner yeast.
Brewer Charles Porter also recently told us he spent "crazy amounts of time" studying water chemistry in order to mimic the clean, smooth water in Germany's Pilsner region!
We’re downing a few of these now, and they’re mighty refreshing. Lager fans, grab some, and judge for yourselves!
