About This Beer
Did you know adding fruit to Lambic beer began in the 19th century?
Despite the Lambic style being produced as early as the 1100’s, throwing fruits into that base is a much more “recent” occurrence, tracing back to Brussels in a journal dated 1878. Since those early days, fruit has become an absolute must to many fans of craft beer.
Enter today’s La Mure, a masterful craft from the GABF-Gold award-winning brewers at pFriem. Blending old world techniques and new world fruits, La Mure is a beer even the farmers of Belgium would be proud of.
To craft it, the Oregonian brewers loaded this batch with 1,500 pounds of black cap Raspberries, and 500 additional pounds of Oregonian Marionberries! That’s more berries than most see in their lives. All in one batch!
Each sip bursts with true-to-form dark berry pie notes, with a body that recalls a smooth, big bodied red wine. With a delightfully tart opening and a cooling finish of cedar and pepper, each quaff leaves a refreshing taste that lingers, begging for another sip.
