Not as flavorful as I would've hoped but still great and refreshing!
Impressively high ABV that doesn't knock out the sourness.
Super yummy, but requires a small glass since it drinks link wine.
More citrusy than sour
One of the better balanced sours I’ve had in a while. Fruit did not overpower and was smooth.
Taste like a sparkling wine, bold and semi dry
Not too strong on the Chardonnay, big fan
Sour at first, then slowly tasted the smooth ale and can taste the citrus. Last, barely taste the fruity. One of the kind.
Smells bad like a good sour should. Tart and sweet
My cuzzin said it was very sour and not good at all
Barrel on the front, barrel on the back. Anchorage does it again. Fantastic beer as usual.
Sour on first taste, smooth finish.
Great fruit elements up front. Nice tropical aromas. As it warms up, the barrel aspects become more apparent. It even has almost a Berliner Weisse thing going on on the finish. The flavors are a little too short, though. Almost crushable.
I like this funky fresh sour and I’m happy I grabbed quite a few. It is really nice with the apricot tartness and clean finish. Really refreshing!!
To light in taste. Not bad but was expecting a little more.
Nice, low gravity, punchy sour
Sour isn’t overbearing, and the fruitiness really comes alive. It’s got a wine-like body. I’m in love with this beer.
Nice soft citrusy fruit notes & the wine barrel aging added a nice layered complexity. Very tasty!
Tart, but balanced. Nice sour.
The Chardonnay ageing lent this one a nice crispness to go with the tropical + sour components.
Tart, sour, super crisp, clean and a touch of funk. Awesome brew
Sour, crisp, tasty
Not a bad beer but outside of a little tangerine there's no flavor. And no barrel either. The only other Anchorage sour I've had is Scream which was very good even though that too lacked barrel.
Fruit flavors are somewhat difficult to discern, but the well-balanced tartness and earthy funkiness more than make up for this. Fresh, bright, and effervescent.
This is definitely a sour ale versus a fruited sour. I like it and would purchase it again. However, this is not a beer you would drink multiples of.
Excellent mixed fermentation ale. The tropical fruits come through and so does the Chardonnay barrel aging. I’m glad I bought two.
Tastes like pickles
Sour heavy, with Chardonnay finish, abv less than advertised.
Brilliantly done. Tart sour builds then falls abruptly to yield new flavors with fruits and lots of barrel
A good sour, but just not my favorite kind of flavor.
Smooth citrus with no bitter aftertaste.
Bird on bottle
Everything I’ve had from this brewery just makes me want to go to Alaska I don’t remember this ones flavor but I know I liked everything I got from them
This was good, nice in between beer and wine.
Less fruit more sour.
Not my thing. Tasted alot of the chardonnay barrel on this one, not much else.
Really nice sour. Well balanced. Good amount of tartness. Not too sweet. Definitely get that mango and citrus. Really nice sunny afternoon sipper.
Good barrel aged sour. Not super tart, very well balanced, glad I have a second bottle to save for another time!
I only got one of these and that was foolish
Sour and dry. Mango
Sweet and sour. Would buy more in a heartbeat.
Easy sipping, pretty flavorful, fruity. The smell was amazing
A little cidery. Not super tropical compared to what the label would make you think. Not super sour. But not bad
Very good sour, love the barrel aged notes. Very enjoyable ! A must grab
Barrel sour, but not really a distinguishing flavor profile
Great in a warm day.
Super smooth sour, perfect for any sour lover
Good sour nothing more
Another excellent sour from Anchorage
Champagne guava cider Stay, don't slip away The punch of sour is immediate and substantial, but quickly succeeded with beautiful tart dryness
You can't go wrong. Great sour.
Near clear, fruity, funky, woody aromas, tart, zippy citrus, subtle tropical fruits, big, pungent French oakiness, Anchorage funk. (Subtle diacetyl in aroma & flavor).
Very refreshing sour. Not too sour. Very satisfying.
More like a saison than a sour
Great beer, not overpowering sour
Great tasting sour with a great abv
Nice subtle sour. Not overwhelming on the fruit. Barrel presence noted.
Definitely Very unique, a little sweet and bubble gummy but overall a very solid beer. Just very different than I was expecting.
Sour citrus goodness.
Super sour super good!
Very fine sour! Well balanced and full of nice fruit flavors.
The flavor did not meet up to the excitement of opening the beer.
I think they only need to buy the stout.
Oh, so delectable! Great notes of Chardonnay, and subtle hints of mango and tangerine. Finished up with a guava creaminess.
Mild sour notes
Very different flavor profile from most sours I've had but man this is so light and easy drinking but yet sour with the higher abv you wouldn't even notice. Highly recommend this one!
sour, yet refreshing. we’ll crafted
light on the sour, great oak and tropical notes. very well done
Anchorage is always good!
another good one from Anchorage
