I’m glad I tried this one. It takes an Octoberfest beer to another level. Very heavy with coffee/roasty notes with a bit of smoke. Very well made.
Dark, smooth, and roasty.
Flavor is of biscuit, mesquite, char, caramel, and dry woody and nutty notes. Very tasty smokey lager, drinks easy and has lots of flavor at a low abv. I could drink this semi regularly.
Really liked it at first, aftertaste wasn’t my favorite
Flavorful malty dark lager with hints of coffee, nuts and Carmel. Nice smooth crushable brew.
It's a beautiful combination of a stout and ale. Perfectly drinkable, all the flavors of a stout without being so heavy. My favorite yet!
Not really my style
Good winter brew! Not great overall! But for sure worth a try if you haven't had a Schwarzbier!
Decent. Chocolate, roasted, malty. Smooth and well balanced.
Good flavors and easy drinking, I would call this an approachable schwarzbier.
Nice dark and roasty scent upon cracking one open. Thin and light bodied texture typical of a lager. However the beer still delivers with smooth sweet darkness.
Crisp and light but with a nice complexity. Has some lovely coffee notes with hints of chocolate and caramel. That said, it is not too sweet and has a nice bitterness. Goes down super easy and a great pairing with food. 1.75 Thumbs up!
My husband really enjoyed this one.
Nice roasty flavor and pretty flavorful for a lower % beer.
Really enjoyed this one. A great lager taste with just a hint of coffee.
Chocolate, malt, a bit of sweet and smokiness.
Light on the roast, very nice lager. Love this genre.
Ok, but nothing special. Very light, much less malt and much less body in general than I expect from this style. A little nice smokiness, but not enough. Adroit Theory is usually awesome; this beer is only Ok.
Glad I tried this one. Nice & smooth. Nice chocolate notes. One of the better Schwarzbiers out there.
3.75 3.85 solid black lager
Smooth and crisp with clean finish, notes of toasted chocolate
Very coffee heavy. Not as bitter as other coffee beers. It was a decent beer.
Notes of roasted chocolate and coffee.
Not too many bells and whistles, super clean and crisp, not heavy at all. Great one.
Incredible. Dark, rich, wonderful.
Adroit Theory never disappoints. This beer was an easy-drinker and was fine with that in-mind. I highly recommend anyone buying anything this brewery does
An instant favorite, as i use Tavour more and more, i seem to grab things based on brewery, not on style. But Schwarzbiers are a favorite, and Adroit is becoming that. Drinkable as a lighter beer, but all the darkness i love.
Very roasty and smokey. This is my first time trying a black lager and was very impressed, especially as someone who doesn't care for conventional lagers.
This is a great all day alternative to your run of the mill lagers great balance between malty and smoky
Smoky, roasty, yet balanced and extremely tasty and pleasant. Underrated style and great execution. Great bAlance between germAn and American style
