Hello darkness my old friend // I’ve come to drink you up again

Is that the sound of silence, or the tantalizing trickling of today’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter being poured into a glass? Judging by the gorgeous roasty aromas wafting my way, I’m assuming it’s the latter. 

To craft this decadent masterpiece, the River North crew started with an incredibly robust base brew, and then let it age in bourbon barrels for 23 months until it took on stunning whiskey and woodspice characteristics.

Each sip swells with notes of freshly pulled espresso, dark chocolate, and caramel, all held together by a rich, malty backbone. Subtle nuances of oak and bourbon come through on the finish, complementing its warming 14% ABV.

And since this boozy beast comes in an approachable 375 ml bottle, dark beer lovers can enjoy the flavors in this sumptuous sipper anytime, without worrying about the night ending too early. 

So go ahead and pop open a bottle. Maybe put on your favorite Paul Simon album while you’re at it.
