A Note on This Beer
I went through a HUGE Nutella phase for a while.
I would put it on my french toast, slather it on English muffins, sneak spoonfuls out of the jar — I even started swapping out the PB in my PB&J’s for Nutella, at one point.
Of course, there is the reality of ‘too much of a good thing,’ so I’ve cut way back. But, old habits die hard — I feel like I can’t stop pouring pint glasses full of this brand-new Hazelnut Uppercut from Odd13!
They brewed this Imperial Stout with hefty additions of hazelnuts and creamy milk chocolate, so every sip is like a silky swirl of that hazelnut-cocoa spread I love so dearly. It pours mahogany brown with a singed hint of crimson, delighting the senses with its aromas of sweet tootsie roll candies. On the palate, a mild roastiness complements the richness of the Nutella-like flavors.
It comes with a relaxation-worthy 8.7% ABV, too! If you ask me, it’s a brew that belongs at an afternoon picnic, being sipped in between bites of fresh strawberries and brie cheese.
Or, you could pour it into a mug and plop a scoop of vanilla ice cream in for a Nutella Beer Float! However you want to get your fix with Hazelnut Uppercut, I won’t judge you one bit.

Nice and chocolatey with a hint of hazelnut
Hazelnut forward tasty 😋 stout with a creamy mouthfeel and aftertaste .... it’s a solid 4 won’t go much higher than maybe a 4.15 it’s just average to be honest not saying that’s bad it’s just a hazelnut uppercut
Hazelnut forward with chocolate playing seconds fiddle. Pretty decent.
I mean 8.7 abv it truly is a hazelnut uppercut
Nothing to write home about. Drinkable but not memorable
Hazel is nuts about this one broh
Okay. A little thin for me. Wish the hazelnut was a bit stronger.
Great bitter stout aromas. A nice nuttiness is found throughout and a great blending of rich chocolate and hazelnut. I feel like the flavors perfectly represent the two key advertised flavors, but could be more intense. It wasn’t until I got to the bottom of the can that it was quite sludgy (like straight up Nutella), so maybe swirl it a bit towards the bottom to get what I’m looking for. Otherwise, a great stout.
Nothing out of the blue but I’ve been having a lot of hazelnut beers so I’m biased I would enjoy less after taste . Has an alcoholic after taste
Hells yesssss. Can art is bomb and so is the beer inside.
Boozy, chocolate, subtle hazelnut. Great on a cold day.
If love love hazelnuts this beer is amazing!!! I love those nuts lol but my wife even loved it
Not as much hazelnut as I expected but chocolatey and very good
Thin mouth feel, high flavor. Would like some boozy warmth to that hazelnut to balance the sweetness, but overall a really nice experience.
Very nutty... maybe a little too nutty, but still worth the trip.
Rich. Good hazelnut flavor.
Nice body but extremely light hazelnut
Hazelnut is prominent
Flavorful, smooth, and easy to drink. Nutella stout.
Lots of chocolate with a nice bit of nutty flavor, too.
Light on the hazelnut unfortunately. And a bit too sweet. Worth a try tho, I liked it
I thought I tasted something until the bitter uppercut.
Really enjoyed this one. Mildly sweet, better flavor than some other hazelnut beers
It just tasted like a sweet beer with a hint of hazelnut. Not very much flavor at all.
It really does taste like Nutella 😂
Chocolatey, nutty aromas. Smooth, fairly creamy mouthfeel. Definitely get a Nutella feel to the flavor with a good balance between chocolate and hazelnut. I like sweet stouts, so I’m digging this.
This is beautiful. So balanced, not too thick of a mouth feel. Perfect level of hazelnut and cocoa.
Wasn’t impressed. Flavor wasn’t bad but nothing I was blown away with
Nice balance between the chocolate and hazelnut.
Uppercut me with deliciousness
Chocolate, hazelnuts, and a little thinner than expected but real tasty
Thin. Sticky. Flavors scarcely come through. Just okay.
Sticky and "oil like". Not my favorite
Absolutely love it, very solid flavor and the hazelnut is done just right. Big fan of this beer and will definitely by others of theirs
Hazelnut and chocolate flavors come through but a little too watery for me
Good taste for a candy bar, not so much for a beer.
Aromas punch as beer warms. Good blend of hazelnut and chocolate. Obvious reminiscent of Ferrero Rocher chocolate.
Wish there were more hazelnut
Solid hazelnut sweetness counters the usual bitterness of the imperial stout
Strong nutty hazelnut taste, a bit mild/watery on the stout side but still enjoyable
Good, nothing special
Vert nice chocolate and hazelnut notes at the beginning that continue to linger. Stout base blends well with these additions.
Like a drinkable nutella
This beer tastes just like a Tootsie Roll. Don’t know what more to say. Takes me back to the arcade and trading my left over single tickets for tootsie rolls.
Its a stout. I expected more but it failed to deliver. Smooth for being almost 9% but the hazelnut wasn't there for me.
yummy. sweet but not too sweet
Nose is nutty & chocolaty. Pours brown w/robust head. Smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. On the palate, milk chocolate most prominent along with some nuttiness & roasty notes.
party in my mouth
easy drinker, very smooth.
tastes just like the ingredients
