Hawaiian Speedway Stout
AleSmith Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Today is a momentous occasion. We are able to share Alesmith’s Hawaiian Speedway Imperial Stout with our members, a beer that is only sold in their San Diego taproom.
For any of you out there wondering why the rest of us just jumped out of our seats over this specialty Stout: it's brewed with real coconut and caramel-hazelnut flavored Hawaiian coffee. But that’s just the tip of the coconut, here’s a breakdown of what makes it so exceptional:
Hawaiian Speedway is brewed with Ka'u java, some of the most sought after coffee beans in the world. It combines the natural sweetness from real vanilla and coconut, before melting into the rich, silky character of three types of chocolate: dark, milk, and bakers.
The community approval is undoubtedly great, with a 4.36 on BeerAdvocate and 4.22 on Untappd.
Events are hosted around "on-tap only" limited tastings of Hawaiian Speedway at a small number of select beer bars around the country. Stout fans flock and help kick kegs at astounding speeds, even when patrons are limited to only 4oz pours.
Original Speedway Stout has won medals at GABF and The San Diego ITNL Beer Competition, becoming one of Alesmith’s top selling beers and spawning over 60 variants. Hawaiian is one of the rarest found in bottles.
Be one of the few to ever hold a bottle of Alesmith’s Hawaiian Speedway Stout. Snap a pic, show off to your friends, and join us for a one-of-a-kind dark beer luau.
