About This Beer
For this limited release, the brewers combined two oak aged Munichwines and a double oaked version. Then they combined that with three barrels of Barleywine, each crafted with plenty of rye grain and matured in a variety of rye whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
Expect tremendous aromas of burnt sugar, candied date, and top shelf whiskey. On the sip, notes of burnt sugar and toffee should intertwine with nuances of dark rum, port wine, and caramelized apricots.

Definitely sweet but very tasty - like the “simplicity” of just barleywine that is aged with no other flavor additions. This is an excellent beer.

The munichwine component gave it some nice toasted pumpernickel bread notes layered over barleywine characteristics. the barrel aging is perfect. Ordered a second
