About This Beer
East End’s BBA Barleywine is an annual series, one with Rye and one with Bourbon. For this year’s Bourbon barreled release, the crew used exclusively Heaven Hill barrels, making this bold, boozy delight a fantastic sip-and-swirl kind of nightcap brew.
Tasting Notes
Sumptuous, sticky date and dried fruit notes, swaths of complex oak character, and hints of molasses and bourbon heat. A light finish of velvety vanilla and creme brulee akin to a melted lava cake filled to the brim with fudge.

I don't really like American style barley wines, so I didn't rate it. I do however, like the bourbon barrel taste. it is pretty bitter because of the American style, but, with some British undertones of Sweetness with dates.

Thick, chewy body of caramel, toffee and a nice hop bite backed up by a little boozy warmth. The bourbon is an afterthought, making its contributions subtle and acting
as a supplement, particularly with the hops. Good stuff.

12oz can from Tavour. Medium brown pour with thin beige head. sweet, malty aroma; boozy, browm sugar. ABV hits hard and fast, followed by sweet malty notes, molasses, woody and whiskey barrel elements. The ABV warmth carries through the entirety of the drink.
