About This Beer
The Pittsburgh brewers release Gratitude but once a year, and their 2021 variant makes for a welcome and bright addition to the family. This no nonsense pour is as true-to-the-original as they come, for lovers of all things Barleywine who don’t need no stinkin’ barrels. It’s the brew early sippers call “The top Barleywine in the ‘burgh!”
Tasting Notes
At the top of the sip comes a delectable wave of toffee and a touch of grape. A complement of herbaceousness rolls right into an irresistibly sweet finish of date and molasses, clinging to the cheeks with a touch of belly warming booziness.

Great multilayered flavors, high alcohol content certainly takes over.

Beautiful rust-red color with a lovely, rich malted barley aroma. Deep, raisin/fig flavors with a rich, boozy punch, and a lingering, honey-roasted finish. This one is really pretty nice.

one of the best American barleywines I’ve had in recent years which is not a huge sample pool but 9 months of age on it and has a nice firm bitterness without being overpowering warming, but still smooth. quite impressive
