Very toasty, some sweet chocolate and coffee is present, very bitter with noticeable alcohol heat and a slight spicy flavor that works. Very beautifully done. First RIS I thoroughly enjoyed!
First beer from this brewery. What a treat!! These guys delivered a well balanced monster beer. My favorite part of the can art was the cigar and music pairings!!
Dreadfully dark. Beautifully crafted Russian Imperial Stout. This beer was an experience of layer upon layer of coffee, dark malts, chocolate, and a little boozy punch in the gullet. Buy 6 when they release ANYTHING! You are cheating your future self if you don’t, and your future you will hate you for it.
For a 13% the smooth flavor makes you forget how powerful it really is. This brewery can do no wrong.
Definitely coffee and dark chocolate flavors at the front. Nice roasty malts follow.
Lots of roasted malt flavor with some bitter dark chocolate! Definitely can taste the booze though not as much as you'd expect from 13.5%!
Toasty and notes of chocolate and coffee. A bit too bitter for my palate though. I tend to like stouts that favor sweet. After a few more tastes some of the “bitter” may be the 13.5.....
Nothing pops out, but still solid
Solid standard Russian Imperial.
Silky and extremely smooth. Slight notes of chocolate and coffee (in that order.) Careful with this one; it’s got 13%+ ABV.
this was interesting. lacked some Depth of flavor which im usually into when it comes to stouts, but this baby was strong.
Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste follows aroma along with some bitterness and light coffee notes. Alcohol is well hidden.
Rich, sharp nose. Pairs well with anything savory, especially aged cheeses or Marcona almonds. Huge, lingering finish.
Bitterness followed by dark chocolate and coffee notes
Pretty hoppy for a stout. Tried it out of the can and after fractional freezing to 25% ABV (not recommended).
Nice roastiness, but too malty for me
Solid IRS, what’s not to like?
Roasted boozy chocolate coffee.
16oz can from Tavour. Ebony pour, ring of brown head. Aroma is deep roast malts, chocolate, licorice. Taste starts with the roasty malts, minor sweet notes, dark chocolate, cacao, anise and finishes with a bitterness and rising alcohol warmth. Slick, smooth, creamy. Winner!
Woul be considerably better barrel aged
Roasty stout from Adroit...similar to their other roasty stouts.
Fine stout. The flavor is good considering how high the ABV is but I'd still prefer they just lower the percent
Very nice, flavorful beer.
Delicious! Smooth, chocolatey, and coffee perfection!
Was good but a bit boozy
Roasty, coffee and chocolate flavor.
I don't drink very many stouts and this one was delicious not to dark or sticky
Almost identical to the previous iteration I had (Ghost 948, I believe), except missing those cocoa nib and especially the coconut aspects that gave it a great depth of flavor. This is still just as enjoyable and crushable. Less bitter with less cocoa nib flavors, but definitely more chocolate throughout with a touch of toasted coffee flavors. A great and perfect yet different iteration of the Future You Hates You line.
Too boozy for me.
Getting to be a stout fan
On the harsh side
Great for a 10 mile hike in 50degree weather
Bought for a buddy. Excellent example of an imperial start. Smooth and boozy! 👊🏻👊🏻🍺🍺
Don't taste the abv
No way this is 13.5%, bitter coffee and chocolate notes give way to a little maltiness. This is definitely the perfect beer to enjoy a cool night by the fire pit with
Very good but a little too bitter
Very decent RIS. Has some bitterness to it. I had to contrast it by having a sweet rich cheesecake with it. The perfect pairing.
Great dessert, future me loves me.
Nice dark chocolate, roasty, boozy flavor.
Thick, chocolatey, with a spicy finish. Amazing stout.
good standard imperial stout.
Really strong beer but it's pretty good!
Just a great tasting beer.
Adriot Theory has done it again. Loving how smooth this is.
Future me prolly does hate me cause I didn’t try this beer sooner.
Not a fan of this one. Hides the booze well, but that’s the highlight.
Oh so flavorful (chocolate, coffee), so smooth and thick, and so boozy
Smooth, coffee & mocha notes. A good buzz from this one.
Strong but sneaky. Chocolate and roasty
Enjoyable! Boozy and not overly sweet
Adroit still remains one is my new favorite breweries. Their stouts are always solid. pure, solid regular imp. stouts. They don't do adjuncts as well as others, but for regular/classic imp. stouts.... they make a helluva product
