Plan Bee Farm Brewery
A Note on This Beer
The word “Fuggle” may sound like it’s something out of Harry Potter, but for brewers like those at Plan Bee, it’s a highly aromatic hop with 150 years of history behind it.
Plan Bee’s Fuggle Farmhouse Ale offers a taste of why the hops are still sought after today. The brewers filled this brilliant orange sipper with “generous additions of New York State-grown Fuggle Hops” for earthy tea aromas. Complex murmurs of lemongrass, florals, and woody pine dance on the tongue in every 8% ABV sip!
But, we have just 204 bottles of Fuggle. Only the fastest craft fans will snag a sip!
*USA Today calls Plan Bee’s beer the closest thing “to tasting a sense of New York's terroir that you can find.”

I liked this one. It tastes like sour bandaids. If you're a saison fan, you know what I'm talking about. The sour is up front at first sip, then fades cidery goodness. The funk is mostly in the aroma. Just going by the smell you don't expect the level of sour. Overall a fun and decent sipper. I liked the touch of the melted wax over the cap - fancy.
Very tart and funky. A bold, saison. Tough to drink the whole bottle in one sitting, good one to share with friends.
