Efrain79 is an idiot. This was awesome.
Thick chewy mouthfeel with spot on notes of vanilla and delicious bourbon barrel. Delightful mild booziness. This brew is a meal all by itself, even better as it gets warm or room temp! Fantastic!
Not as impressive as I’ve come to expect from anchorage, I do wish they would revert back to barleywine and stouts of a true Bba nature and move away from the Missouri oak or non barrel
Candied vanilla, subtle roast, medium mouthfeel, nice barrel presence. Very enjoyable.
vanilla flavors from the adjunct and the barrels is pretty impressive. well integrated and not cloying.
exceptional. smooth, boozy, barrel present, vanilla adds to the smooth. loved every sip over 2 hours. delicious.
what a great beer all around!
Disappointed by this one. Not nearly the level of balance and flavor that I've had from most Anchorage dark beers
Love beers from this brewery! perfect taste…could feel the bourbon and taste the vanilla. So very smooth…an all time favorite!
excellent porter. balanced. not overly sweet
Body on anchorage dark beers is great
Gorgeous, luscious, viscous
Malty chocolaty vanilla notes and for being a Baltic porter was. A good beer.
The minerality and crispness of a Baltic Porter are present, but brought to another level with the DO WR barrel.
Awesome as any Anchorage beer usually is.
boozy barrel age, roasty chocolate and vanilla deliciousness
Thin and decent vanilla
Nice barrel aged character with vanilla. A bit too oakey for me, though.
a little thin but then again it is a porter
Amazing. My wife doesn’t even like porters and she liked it. I’m not sure it gets any better.
not bad potor.
Expensive but pleasant
Another AK banger
Smooth, chocolate and vanilla. This is fantastic!
Great taste and barrel as always.
smelling and tasting vanilla but for some uncertain reason I get chilies…maybe what I ate?
scrumptiously rich porter
Roasty with barrel notes. Anchorage kills any style.
Perfectly well balanced. Chocolate, roasty bourbon goodness. 🍫☕🥃🍻
it was decent for a Porter.
chocolate, vanilla, bourbon barrel, smooth. what’s not to like? Maybe the best Baltic Porter I’ve tried.
Brianki described this beer perfectly. Thanks!
just awesome and well balanced.
Simply a perfect porter. They sure know how to barrel age a brew
different for sure
Raisins and barrel. Thin mf
Bourbon, Barrel-aged, smooth, boozy
fantastic- Anchorage kills the bourbon barrel aged game !!!
Pretty darn tasty, thick but not pohjala thick or regular anchorage stout thick, tons of vanilla and it tastes like it complements the barrel perfectly which is all over the nose and finish. Boooooozy chocolate bourbon love.
Obviously one of the best porters I’ve had. The Woodford Reserve barrel was a perfect choice and the very slight vanilla sweetness complements the beer beautifully.
ABC might be putting out the best BA wild ales and stouts available right now. Are they pricey, yes. Are they worth it, undoubtedly! Absolutely on point and beautifully refined as per usual. Rich dark fruit enveloped by oaken vanilla and smokey bourbon.
amazing porter, anchorage nailed it
Excellent porter experience! I love Anchorage Brewing's stouts and this was a fun change up. At this point whenever I see a bottle from Anchorage, I cannot pass it up. The packaging and branding are gorgeous and the beer is always a 4-5 star, easy... not as easy, however, is OPENING the packaging. And that is why I am taking a half point off. The design is aesthetically perfect. What I suggest is to create a rip tab at the top of the bottle just below the cap. I've not only broken nails, but also a kitchen knife in trying to open these bottles... there is just no way to easily dig the bottle opener in, and when attempting to peel it off, it is a long, complicated process resulting in wax pieces everywhere! Please Anchorage, make it a little more practical for us to enjoy your delicious brews! Thanks in advance ☺
Aromatic vanilla on the nose, followed by flavours of light roast, vanilla, chocolate, licorice, molasses, and hints of dried fruit. Reasonably full mouthfeel and slight bourbon-like alcohol warmth
only my 2nd Baltic Porter but I really enjoyed this
very smooth and can taste vanilla in the end and little smokey too
all there. tons of vanilla and barrel. I’m not a porter guy mostly but I’ll buy this again.
Great bready, bourbon flavor. Super good sipper.
this was my 1st baltic porter. I heard every other baltic porter will never measure up to this one.
a nice porter that could almost pass as a stout. wonderful blend of flavors to boot. 10/10!
