Good but not great
DELICIOUS! I've never had a golden stout before now but this was incredible. I can definitely taste the Stout genetics but it was lighter and less dark tasting. The flavors worked very well. I also got a delicious buttered toast after taste.
Had to give this to the sink drain. Came out of the van resembling something like a mix between molasses and motor oil. I blame the awful shipping company that Tavour uses in Texas.
Pretty sweet, smooth, malty aroma. Relatively dry with notes of bright, cold brew coffee and plenty of vanilla. Super smooth while also somehow being a little effervescent with a sweet, burnt orange finish. This one is complex and chaotic and I love it.
Not to be underestimated
Light yet very sweet. Very different from anything I’ve ever had.
Surprisingly tart flavor up front. Followed up by very pleasant coffee bean and vanilla flavor.
Super impressed with this! Goes down like a smooth, malty stout. Can taste the coffee. I can’t get over that it’s a golden stout. Really hope Tavour brings this one back!
First beer I’ve poured out from Tavour. Body is like un-set Jello, taste is sour like it came through a dirty tap line. Coffee notes are covered by fake vanillin-y notes. Undrinkable.
Bready nose, terrible mouth feel, not sure what melange of flavors was going on. Poured out. Worst Tavour offering to date.
Excellent taste. Creamy and coffee flavor.
Kinda strange...coffee and chocolate mixed with some citrus
A great change of pace from a typical dark stout
First blonde stout and I wasn't disappointed. Great taste, but not as heavy as a darker stout. Can't wait to have another (I bought two)!
This was interesting. Good flavor. Not heavy or thick. Strange that it was gold. I enjoyed it.
Very smooth. Nice coffee flavor
Nice smooth and tasty stout!
Golden stouts are hard to find and this one was very tasty. Coffee notes were awesome
Enjoyable, but not what I was hoping for
Very light with a strong coffee bean flavor just how i like my golden stouts!
Strange mix of flavors here. Not really for me.
Wanted more out of this but still a good brew.
Hmmm...gelatin like mouthfeel and tasting a little bit of coffee. Maybe worth tasting, but, not worth drinking in my opinion :(
My first blonde stout which I really liked. Coffee and vanilla and silkiness. This was a pleasant surprise!
Ropey, highly viscous and an amalgamation of unbalanced flavors. Definitely has some pedio notes so maybe this was infected. Tasted day it was received.
3.25 .... the taste improved as I drank it. This is my first red stout. Interesting for sure
This is so good. It’s like a white stout and a cream ale had a baby.
Had 2 of them. 1 was pretty tasty. The other, not so much. It was “off”
Really cool idea
Something off. Gelatin consistency
poured down the sink. aroma as I was drinking was off and it had an artificial taste like they were trying to recreate a toasted malt. i was intrigued by the concept of a golden stout but now i see why I've never seen it before.
Glad to see I got a good. Smooth light stout with a nice coffee flavor . This would be a great summer stout.
Really enjoy this style and love to see it showing up more places. This is tasty if a touch sweet for my taste.
