bitter barrel stout.
Intensely boozey and syrupy up front, strong bourbon character settles to dark chocolate and burned wood, lingering charcoal.
Dark as tar, not much of a head… very smooth.
oak nose and oak finish with a bit of chocolate and tobacco in-between.
Very aromatic and dense beer. Slightly overpowering in my opinion, but definitely a beer worth trying.
So bomb. The barrel hits the pallet hard, then washes away to VERY strong cocoa, stronger than most aged with nibs. Very well done!
Very dark, very smooth. Just a trace more burnt on the back chocolate/coffee note than I'd prefer. I'd still drink another, though.
It's really rich and boozy but quite smooth.
oak tannins and hoppy bitterness help to break up the sweetness, really enjoyable!
chocolate and smoke. yum
Dark chocolate, strong barrel at finish.
Didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would
rich but heavy
really enjoyed how the sugar notes played with the barrel
hits like Mike Tyson

Dark. Mysteriously roasty. Flavorful. That’s good.
Dark, smooth, boozy, hits right!
Nice, solid, boozy, big Russian Stout.
