When I first traveled to the little village of Leavenworth, WA, it was in the dead of winter. The ground was thick with snow and the Cascade Mountains loomed above — like a wall protecting the town from the outside world. 

I felt like John Snow from Game of Thrones, traveling north to serve at The Wall, with only my direwolf for company. ‘Cept mine’s a Pomeranian.

And then, I saw it: a charming, A-frame building surrounded by a large outdoor patio with warm, inviting firepits. I went inside and felt immediately at home, tasting delicious craft beers served by friendly staff.
