Just not for me - the combination of dark beer and bourbon notes gave me chills they were so boozy... I wanted the sweeter elements to be more present and to help balance but the spice and bourbon were all I could get. Great for someone who likes these super dark Spicy flavors
So, with this one, it has all the characteristics of a stout that I love. Super thick and fudgy, boozy, barrel aged...had we stopped there, I’d be 2 snaps up in a circle...but...the mole edition isn’t my cup of tea so I’m not a fan. It’s a really good beer and deserves high praise from those that like this altered style, just not my style. If I could get a do over with this brewery and try a version of this stout without the chilies, I’m sure I would give this big stars :)
Little in terms of bourbon; nice heat from the various spices but the mole overpowered for me. Would have really enjoyed if it was more bourbon forward.
Loved it. Can’t wait until it shows up again will buy the max.
Super complex. Very good. Spicy after note.
Complex and incredibly tasty. It reminds me of Abuelita brand chocolate combined with chipotle and guajillo. Mexico in a can.
may be it would better drink as fastest you can. taste good no booze. very good
Not the greatest barely aged out but not bad
Interesting mix of sweet and spicy
I think some mole beers are disgusting (sorry Mole Merkin), but I thought this one was aight.
From the first sip terrible Took another sip to try figure out the flavors . So many flavors were running around in my mouth They put too many things in this beer should be a zero
Smooth, malty not to boozy
I loathe saying anything nice about anything SC for personal reasons, but this brew is OUTSTANDING! I’m not normally a fan of stouts, but it was perfect to sip on a chilly Chicago evening. The complexity of flavors is a treat to the taste buds. I wish I’d purchased more.
