About This Beer
To call this beer an “oak-forward Brown Ale” infused with grapefruit, Buddha’s hand, bergamot, and lemon, as Cellador does, barely scratches the surface.
The team crafted today’s brand new release by blending together eight barrels of dark Farmhouse Ales. The majority had aged over five years, showcasing a maturity that can only come from a long slumber in oak. The youngest, by contrast, were only four months old, bringing a lively brightness to the elder brews. Paired with the citrus and a drizzle of local orange blossom honey, this beer is nothing short of enchanting.
Tasting Notes
Swirl your glass and you’ll get tangy aromas of lemon zest, earth, and fallen leaves. The sip follows with tart and funky nuances that unfold into complex flavors akin to a whiskey sour or classed-up Arnold Palmer. Black tea undertones dance with layered citrus, oak, and a whisper of toasted bread crust on the way to a dry and satisfying finish.
