About This Beer
A highly limited release brewed for Barrel & Flow Fest 2021.
Launched in 1996, Troegs is an award-winning microbrewery from Pennsylvania that is widely credited with helping shape the East Coast craft beer scene. Harris Family and Mack Brewing are two of the very first Black-owned breweries in the state and are working to make the industry more inclusive.
Tasting Notes
It’s crisp and clean like the style is known for, yet positively brimming with flavor. Honey drizzled, freshly-baked bread presents itself in every sip, flowing into bursts of tangerine and lemon.

You definitely know this is a big Pilsner, but it still has the refreshing crispness that a lot of imperial beers don’t have so you still get that Pilsner fresh taste. It is well balanced between the malt middle and crisp finish. the only thing I think it could use is just a little more hop profile. It is a good beer! Would recommend.

Not a Pilsner fan (sorry) but did appreciate how the brewery created a high A BV Pilsner. Noticed the sweetness and depth of the Pilsner. If all Pilsners are
like this I would be a Pilsner fan.

Super boozy pilsner. Still has that crisp finish. strong flavors up front, but they don't linger very long. Very interesting beer; super unique.

So innovative. Clean, crisp, refreshing, yet full of flavor. Alcohol punch is subdued. Juicy and dry at the same time.

Pours a nice golden hue. Floral, sweet aromas. You can tell this isn’t your average pils. Thick mouthfeel. Citrus from the dry hopping complements the malty notes, and the ABV lends a lot of sweetness. Very unique, strong brew.

haven't had many imperial pilsners, but this is top 3 of what I have had. Still relatively crisp for the abv. While it's interesting, this beer hasn't persuaded me that 10% plus pilsners should be a thing.

I hadn’t had many imperial pilsners, at least not over 10%. it was impressive to drink a pils that got me buzzed like a Russian stout. apart from that the flavor profile was a bit limited and this was the antithesis of ‘crushable’. i was simultaneously impressed and a bit bored. I think it could have benefited from a heavier hop profile.

It’s an interesting experiment but for me the big ABV just works against the style. With the low carbonation I felt like I was drinking a Belgian ale.
