Dry Hopped American Pilsener
Great Notion Brewing
A Note on This Beer
With today’s brand-new Dry Hopped American Pilsener, Lowercase and Great Notion’s friendship is sealed in brewing history!
You’ve probably heard of Great Notion — they’re some of the biggest celebrities in the craft world, thanks to their undying passion for hops. Thrillist, Craft Beer & Brewing, and even Forbes all point to the Portland brewery’s sticky cone skills as proof of their greatness!
If you haven’t heard of Lowercase Brewing, don’t fret; even Seattle locals have a hard time tracking down their beers! That doesn’t stop this crew from rocking the craft scene — just last year, they took home 6 Gold Medals AND Mid-size Brewery of the Year at the highly competitive WA Beer Awards!
So, it was almost like fate when Great Notion decided to launch their new Seattle taproom right next door to Lowercase. And, like the power couple they were destined to be, the Lager lovers at Lowercase joined forces with the hop-obsessed Great Notion crew to craft this all-star Pilsener.
They brewed it with Pilsner Malt and corn in the rich base, ensuring crisp, clean drinkability with a marvelous full-bodied smoothness. Then, they hit it with a heavy load of orangey Citra, pineappley Vic Secret, and melony Belma Hops for a fruity fiesta of flavor.
Such a complex, yet infinitely chuggable brew as this comes with a catch 22 — do you savor it slowly, relishing the nuances that each celebrated brewery contributes? Or, do you throw caution to the wind and crush this tasty Pils immediately?
We suggest you grab a few cans so you can dabble in both.

Well balanced beer
Crisp, hoppy, citrus.
Juicy juice. I'm not a hop head at all, but this had some great hop profiles.
Good but reminded me of IPA more
Tasty and interesting
Awful. Sour and acid.
pretty good collab using non-traditional (for pilsners) hops to give it a unique taste
Crisp Pilsner brightened by gentle hoppiness and a slightly bitter finish.
tastes like a pale ale with the aftertaste of a pilsner. if that sounds like something you’d like, this is your beer
Drinks like an ipa
Enjoyable pilsner. Very crisp and clean.
