Druid Pils South
A Note on This Beer
On more than one occasion, I’ve overestimated my ability to day drink. If you’ve ever woken up from a little beer nap on the beach with one side of your body blisteringly sunburnt, you probably know what I mean.
But, I never want to sacrifice flavor for all-day drinkability! That’s why, the next time my buddies invite me out for some 9 to 5 summer sippin’, I’m packing my cooler full of Druid Pils South!
The brew wizards at Heist cram this crispy boi to the brim with clean flavors of zesty Meyer lemons! It tastes as if they used a combo of hops and citrus fruit, but no — this is a 100% German-style Pilsner without any extra frills.
And, they specifically brewed it to be as crushable as the day is long. In fact, they call it “even more refreshing, even more crisp, and even more shotgunnable” than their other Pilsners.
Craft fans like @Justin B. agree. He calls Druid Pils South “Awesome! And [it’s got a] lower ABV so I can have a thousand.”
While shotgunning a thousand cans might be going a little overboard, you can certainly bring a cooler-full to the beach without worrying about an impromptu nap in the sun.

Spot on Pilsner. Love it!
Refreshing and smooth.
Great beer. Not life-changing but absolutely worth a buy
Clean and light but had great flavor
This has to be one of the cleanest tasting beers around can’t wait to see more from this Crew 🏆
A smooth, crushable and light summer brew.
Perfect hot weather beer.
I never won’t like a Pilsner, but this one was a little light in the flavor department.
Nice clean and crisp pils. Different than othersnive had but nothing to write home about unfortunately.
i got two cans and two different experiences... the first was more pleasant and the second wasn’t... was way too sweet the second time
Das Crispy Boi!
Decent Pilsner but nothing makes it great
Very light. No bad. Just nothing stood out for me. I'm more drawn to the artwork from the can vs the flavor of this pilsner... Would I get again? No.
It’s a good Pilsner !
Smooth, tastefully hoppy and sweet with that familiar Pilsner taste!
A very good Pilsner on a sunny day.
Smooth. Super drinkable.
Very refreshing and
This is what I am looking for in a great drinkable Pilsner. Refreshing and light. No off flavors. Delicious. I will be buying more.
Refreshing, light and perfect complement to a pizza.
Clean, crisp, easy. Very good
Not bad. A traditional ipa
Clean, crisp, and definitely crushable.
Oooo this is absolutely a must to pick up again.
Crisp, citrusy pilsner!
Nice refreshing pils. Dry with just the right of hoppy bitterness that calls for another sip.
Cracker, bread, semi dry, hint of sweetness.
It was ok
Excellent tasting, crisp Pilsner with a decent amount of malt.
Thin, rather boring, not very memorable. A purchase I could’ve skipped.
Super clean and crisp
Dry, light, crisp, hoppy
Crisp and delicious. Perfect for these hot days
Not bad for a light Pilsner. I’m one drawn to the art on a majority of these cans. Definitely one to collect.
Light but flavorful
Easy to drink with the slightest bitterness in the finish.
Crisp and bitter
