Yea that’s definitely a citra beer. Punch in the face with hops and then it finished with hops.
The Citra hits a meaty profile and is definitely one of the best hazy pale ales
Would have rated lower by mistaking it as an IPA that doesn't fit my preffered taste, but knowing its a pale ale gives it an interesting characteristic.
Bright and wonderfully crisp Pale Ale. Full of flavorful hoppy goodness and refreshing body.
16oz can from Tavour. Hazy, milky yellow, fine head. Aroma is grapefruit peel. Taste is more citrus, mostly grapefruit, some lemon. Zippy, zesty.
Intensely bitter hazy pale ale. Perhaps a bit unbalanced toward the bitter side, with only minimal contribution from the hazy malt backbone, leaving the mouthfeel a bit thin. Hop flavor is also bit one dimensional with intense piney notes and subtle orange citrus undercurrents. Hop flavors also feel a bit unrefined and raw, like tasting hop particulate matter in the bottom of a beer. As the beer warms and open up a bit, it definitely improves with the bitterness mellowing out and becoming less astringent. Additional citrus becomes more noticeable and the beer feels more balanced. Previous Sue iterations have been better, but this is still an above average pale ale with more flavor than many others.
Not getting much juice from this one
This is my favorite brewery - hands down. Still like the original better, but just barely.
Citrusy and crisp
Tasty pale, ddh adds some complexity. Likely to have another.
Got nice oomph to it!!! This is one of my favorite pale ale!
Good but local is better
Delicious, light, crisp and and a little sweet. Nice citrus notes to it.
An easy drinker
Has the DDH of a double IPA but does not have the hop taste in my opinion. Still an amazing beer!
Pretty good for a pale ale, nice flavor. I just prefer IPAs. Would have loved this with more hops.
My least favorite Sue, but still solid.
Easy to drink, loads of flavor. Great hoppy, bitter finish
Easy to drink, great for giving to beginners
Fantastic herbal aroma on crack, grapefruit blast with a hint of herbal fennel. Juicy, but quickly replaced by moderate bitterness. Dry, lingering finish.
It’s a super crisp beer with a light bitterness after it goes down! Awesome beer
One of the best beers I’ve ever had
The double dry hop really stands out. 🍻🍻
Hype is real. I need more.
I dig this. Citra is all there in its glory, still a good bitter bite
Mcdonalds sprite kind of crispy.
Heavy lime, grapefruit peel and pine.
Really good pale ale. Two thumbs up, heavy citrus flavor and the DDH are nicely executed.
Comes on a little aggressive but mellows out as you drink it, sweetness comes through late
So good. I should have ordered more!
Damn that’s a good beer
Alw Always order as many as you can!
Bright with just enough bite
Balanced, clean with some sharp flavors. Just a touch of vegetal and earthy flavor along with the juice and hops.
DDH Citra yes please
Lots of citrus and dank
Outstanding DDH pale ale. I love the OG Pseudo Sue and wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. It didn’t fail to impress. VERY hoppy but smooth and milky. Drank like a hazy IPA. Highly recommended!
Very tasty pale ale!
Grapefruit, orange, soft mouthfeel, moderate citrus rind bitterness
Delicious and refreshing- a nice combo of hops and fruit. I'd expect nothing less from the likes of Sue the T-Rex!
Nice & hoppy!
Nice, hoppy and smooth. I want more.
3.98/5 look: 4.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4 Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Look- Dull straw, sudsy white head, hazy, average head retention and lacing. Smell- Grapefruit, floral. Taste- Overwhelming grapefruit flavor upfront transitioning to a herbal and slightly spicy finish. Feel- Between thin and medium body, high bitterness, highly astringent, average carbonation. Overall- Flavor was too one dimensionally grapefruit for my palate.
Pretty solid for a pale ale.
Hoppy with citrus and mango notes
Another deeelish Sue!
Delicious, one of my favorites!!
Very 3 & and a half
Like the original a tad more. But still tasty
Pseudo sue is the best pale ale ever. Citrus and stone fruit.
Somehow even better than the original! Super juicy!
Bitter for me
Super solid, refreshing, and very crushable
A bit light and bitter for my taste.
Fresh, piney, incredibly smooth. Pleasant hoppiness. Really drinkable
The first time I had this beer, I was asked to leave TG’s original brewpub location because I had had too many beers in their opinion (I had six total, two of which were these). I chalk it up to the staff caring about their patrons and not wanting me to be in a bad spot from the significant alcohol consumption from one sitting. With this beer coming from Tavour, I don’t have to deal with the judgments of others as I drink this in my house. With that said, this beer was really, really, really good in 2016 on draft versus just really good in a can in 2021.
Nice hop and dry hop aromas. Very drinkable
Pseudo sue on steroids. The aroma when I poured it was like sticking my face in a pile of freshly cut mangoes. So much lovely orange and mango on the initial taste with an overwhelming pine finish. I prefer the original but this was a lot of fun to drink.
Nice Pale Ale. Didn’t expect it to be as bitter as it was, but adds a nice balance to the citrusy taste
Citrus notes and slightly bitter. Solid as always.
