Happy to be doomed to drink this one
Lots of coffee, nice vanilla finish. Not too barrel heavy at all. Overall ridiculously delicious.
Perfect! Good backbone and lots of kick!
Roasty. Coffee adds balanced bitterness with the sweet vanilla.
Super coffee. If you like good black coffee this beer is for you.
Extreme nice mouth feel. Great flavor.
Extremely aggressive coffee and huge vanilla
Haven’t yet had a bad stout from Anchorage.
Coffee. Chocolate. Boozy.
This is perfect!
This gives me Dark Lord russian stout vibes. Flavors are intense and really stand out. Oakiness from the barrel really comes out with subtle coffee and then you are just hit with deep dark chocolate on the finish. 3.90
I was absurdly impressed with this beer. I know that right now EVERYONE is going crazy over Anchorage Brewing.... and... I can easily see why! This was an incredibly rich, thick, well composed beer. The flavors of coffee, vanilla, and barrel were bursting with flavor but also Very well balanced. This beer showcased intensity and finesse all-in-one... which many breweries struggle with. Making a huge ABV beer with flavorings/adjuncts isn't hard. But don't it at this level that Anchorage is doing it, now I completely get why they are becoming a new powerhouse in the crest beer world. World class beer!
Thick dark slightly sweet start that ends somewhat bitter chocolate. It mellows as it warms. Not getting much coffee. 15.5abv is well hidden.
Gorgeous beer, but so intense that I had to take one star off. If it was just a tiny bit less "smoky" tasting and a little tiny bit sweeter, it would have been the most perfect flavored stout ever. So close!! I will definitely give this brand it's fair chance, probably just haven't found my flavor yet.
Solid BA stout that you’d expect from Anchorage. A little heavier handed on coffee than I usually like but definitely a good pour.
The Madagascar vanilla bean taste was one of my favorite parts with the dark espresso coffee taste. Smooth, sweet, strong and incredibly worth it!
Not their best
Absolutely phenomenal. Great mouth feel The malt and spices perfectly balanced for a stout. 10/10.
Much more coffee than I was expecting
my first anchorage!
Amazing coffee in this one.
Very coffee forward. Dangerously smooth. If you like bold, dark roast coffee, this will be a 5/5. However, for me, it was too much.
Heavy roast, loads of coffee
Prettty good, however for me to much coffee.
Amazing; wish I had bought another despite the price.
vanilla. smooth Ahmazing delicious
Very rich dark roast coffee. Almost flawless!
One if the best Stouts I’ve had recently. Truly a great beer.
Lots of coffee!!
I bow once again to the brew gods from the north. So sinfully decadent and smooth. Perfect taste from start to finish. Thick, rich with vanilla, but everything u want from a strong stout as well. Awesome!
You have to love any of there stouts! I have not had on disappoint yet. Thick, velvety, balanced and delicious.
It's less delicious than the other series.
I drink my coffe black. This taste like some good coffee beans blended and thrown into your cup of joe in the morning. It isn’t super sweet more on the bitter side. I definitely get that dark chocolate note. It’s a great mixture of Dark chocolate mixed with black coffee. You can’t even tell it has alcohol yet alone 15.5% of it. This has been my favorite stout till this day. If you can get your hands on one of these grab it. I’m glad I bought 2 of them.
Wonderful, rich and smooth
Tasted like melted chocolate
Oak and coffee
Even my stubborn mother loved this
Boomje boomje, gimme.
Too much coffee
Insanely intense and you wouldn't want it so send them all to me ASAFP!
Smooth dark chocolate notes followed by coffee and ending with that Madagascar vanilla. Super delish!!
Extremely on the coffee side. Vanilla is almost not present. Great beer, but mostly for the coffee heads.
Booze, Barrel, espresso
Lots of coffee in this one. I like coffee.
Anchorage never disappoints
amazing... full body finished like a whisky. coffe and dark chocolate mocha and vanilla. bitters like a coffee
A bit too bitter for me. Still a god beer though
Coffee for dayssss
Very sweet, coffee and oak
First Anchorage stout. Glad I was able to try. Very unique taste and thick. Lots of coffee.
Delicious. Huge coffee and vanilla notes. Well made stout.
Too much coffee
Sweetened cold brew
Man does anchorage know how to use a barrel, solid brew in a time that BA’s are everywhere
Very good beer! Solid, thick. Recommend
Really enjoyed this one. Awesome coffee
Punch in the face of amazing barrel and vanilla flavors.
A touch too much coffee for me. Nonetheless another nice stout from anchorage
Beautiful dark chocolate ushered in by gorgeous barrel character on top of more rich and decadent chocolate. Fantastic!
Great balance between coffee vanilla and the barrel
Really enjoyed this, nice barrel
Super boozy! Not bad!
Super rich and bold, slightly sweet but balanced with coffee and roasted malt characters. Dangerously delicious and easy to drink quickly. Watch out for that high ABV.
Quite a bit of coffee but very smooth
Smells like copper but first taste is straight coffee capping off with slight vanilla notes. Nice clean stout that’s not over boozy
Amazing , thick , chewy .... best stout I've had
Perfect. Vanilla and great barrel
Weird coffee note to it
Poor mans Handjee. In a good way
Fantastic stout. Need more.
Perfectly balanced. Delicious!
Coffee and vanilla
Huge ABV, even bigger flavor. Super good.
Coffee and vanilla
The thing that sets Anchorage apart from everyone else is their ability to keep balance. I am not typically a fan of coffee in stouts because it often completely overpowers every other flavor. I would say that Doomed has done a bit to keep me from completely condemning coffee as the over-present ruiner of all beers.
Lots of berry-forward coffee in this one. Barrel aged the only way anchorage knows how—to thick, fudgy perfection.
Amazing how much coffee they got into this beer. Just loads and loads of roasted coffee grains. Dark bitter chocolate and woody barrel notes make their appearance and give some complexity. Overall solid stout but not as good as Tired but Wired.
Ridiculously delicious. Sweet at over 15% but well balanced.
The coffee that was used in this beer was really good. Want to say it’s in my latter 10 of over 300 coffee beers.
Great coffee and bittersweet chocolate taste, vanilla was not too strong, just enough to add complexity. Very good barrel aged stout.
This beer is super super tasty. It pours thick, but not syrupy. Furthermore, the beer is sweet, but not cloying. The oak lends a beautiful balance to the adjuncts. For me, this beer is just a tad too dense. I think a slightly thinner body would fatigue my tastebuds less.
Delicious but a pain to open.
Super thick and chocolatey! Another awesome beer from anchorage!
Wonderful chocolate taste grabs you at the beginning. Delicious stout with nice coffee undertones.
Coffee on point. Strong but so good. Barrel perfect as always from anchorage.
Vanilla and coffee, yeah
Similar to Tired but Wired it has too much coffee.
95% of these Anchorage small formal beers are delicious!
Too much sludgy chocolate
Maybe needs aging, was rough out of the gate.
Beautiful chocolate notes, smooth well balanced coffee, no bitterness. Just deliciously brewing. Doing it right!
Huge coffee nose. Much less on the tounge, comes across a little sweeter on the tounge. Finishes higley coffee. Fantastic beer.
Really heavy and packed full of sweetness! Great desert stout!
Dam good! Vanilla bomb! One of my favorites!
While its not my favorite Anchorage, this is still incredible. Their quality is top notch.
There’s beer...there’s great beer...there’s amazing beer...and then there’s this gem. Truly in a class by itself. Rich, boozy, thick, and delicious!
Anchorage is the shit! Coffee, maple, vanilla, it all comes together to make a great bourbon barrel stout. Well done!
Like a chocolate vanilla boozy coffee
As typical for Anchorage, this is incredible. Thick and smooth coffee upfront and a very creamy tint to the finish. Spectacular!!
Best enjoyed in a volcano with incessant metal droning and virginal sacrifices occurring in the background. If this setting cannot be created during the consumption of this beer, then it’s merely a 4.75/5 rating.
Anchorage has yet to disappoint! Barrel aged goodness with Klatch coffee and vanilla! Can’t go wrong!
Anchorage crushes these stouts out of the park
Awesome, not as good as TBW
Yea it's the real deal
Never had a bad beer from Anchorage. Doomed is one of the best
this is coffee love
thick chocolate and coffee. great stout.
ALWAYS amazing, they never fail!
strong coffee kick at beginning then so smooth afterwards and smooth 😎
great body and aromatics of coffee, oak, barrel char, cocoa powder. so much coffee that it's a bit unbalanced in that regard but regardless a great beer
big coffee and oak
this beer is great having such a high abv you can't really feel it. nice and thick and rich.
mostly bitter coffee
one of my favorite stouts from them in the past year
Really good and smoother than a baby’s ass. The only downside for me was the Vanilla got a little too sweet for me as it warmed up but not enough for me to give less than 5 stars
ABC continues to kill the stout game. Exceptional coffee stout with a wash of velvety vanilla. Silky smooth for 15%.
Rich, roasty, and delicious
Coffee is on point… sweet, but not too much…. that mouthfeel, oily smoothness!!! (btw… it sneaks the ABV behind the sweet vanilla, spice and coffee ☕️)
Coffee! A little too coffee forward but still a great beer
Lots of chocolate and cherry flavors... smooth
Meets the hype. must get again. best of the best
Anchorage is awesome
thicc and sweet
another good one!
lots of coffee, little vanilla. super smooth
well balanced between barrel and adjuncts
Flavours reminiscent of an espresso martini - hugely coffee and vanilla forward, with chocolate, light roast, oak and a smooth medium-heavy body. Absolutely no sign of the ABV
You know that shitty Jim Beam commercial making fun of craft beer drinkers ("AGED WITH GOAT'S MILK!") in favor of their shitty whiskey you need to mix with something to make it desirable? Those fuckers have never had a beer this good.
