When I think of a stout I want a beer that lingers so the taste stays with me and leaves me wanting more. This is a great example of an imperial stout. The dark malt roast gives this beer a long after taste that fits this bill.
Roasty. Coffee. Smooth.
Nice and thick
16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, spotty brown head. Roasty aroma, chocolate. Taste is the same as the aroma, with a touch of cinnamon. Medium weight. ABV doesn't have a huge presence. Pretty simple presentation, tasty.
Typical R.I.S. Roast, bitter coffee.
Dark, roasty, and a little boozy on the first sip. But after the first sip the notes of coffee and dark chocolate come thru. A solid stout, perfect for a cold night. Update: just finished it. One of these delicious stouts is definitely enough. 13.7% is kicking in, so it's time for bed lol
Sweet, roasty, slightly boozy
Dark, rich and delightfully boozy.
This is good
Good Russian Imperial. Good roasted coffee chocolate taste.
Bitter and boozy but really smooth
Smooth, boozy, roasty, dry.
Full flavor Stout with a 13.7 kick. Very enjoyable
Whoooo boy. Dark roast, heavy alcohol taste, but not too heavy.
Boozy thick a goes down easy, nice stout
Thick and rich, almost chewy. Not sweet but not very dry. A nice edge of hop bitterness along with strong char and chocolate flavors. Good with food or by itself.
Love it! Delicious and cool artwork on the label. I didn't think it tasted boozy considering the hefty 13.7% ABV. Although, I detected a slight underlying caramel, so that's how it presented.
A bit thin for me.
Roasty, burned caramel goodness
A solid stout
Enjoyed it a lot
A great stout from first sip until the last. Beautifully balanced mix of coffee and chocolate. Glad I bought three!
Great Imperial stout, dark chocolate, roasted malt, booze incredibly well hidden.
It’s coffee forward and roasted but other then that it’s thin and ends wanting .... 3:8 to a 3.9
Solid roasty RIS.
Mildly bitter, roasty and toasty, really solid stout.
Very well balanced with a nice smoky flavor
Super rich. Almost perfect example of a Russian Imperial Stout. A bit roasty and strong.
Big, boozy, and complex
Full and smooth! The chocolate undertones are especially nice. This is a Russian Stout I would buy every opportunity I get!!
Very smooth. Nice chocolate notes
Great but I think I aged it a little too long unfortunately. But Adroit is one of my new favorite breweries
Great tasting stout. Like a dessert
First stout, wasn't diapointed
Um, hi, yum!!
that high abv hits but is hidden behind the strong roast
Exactly what you expect from a Russian imperial stout. Very well balanced.
