Dessert Cart - Hazelnut, Coffee, & Vanilla Bean
A Note on This Beer
My wife likes to joke that I’m made of beer and coffee.
I’m pretty sure I’m not. But, if you watched me day in and day out, sleuthing for new brews and crushing bucket-sized cups of dark roast, you’d see where she’s coming from.
Now, imagine how psyched I was to score a batch of affogato-inspired Imperial Pastry Stout from the North American Beer Awards gold medal winners at Mountains Walking! Even with a dizzying 10.5% ABV, it’s so smooth and creamy, I swear it doubles as an expertly-crafted vanilla-hazelnut flat white.
To make today’s 4.26 UT rated Dessert Cart, these brew baristas used heaps of toasted hazelnuts, Tahitian vanilla beans, locally-sourced coffee beans, and a touch of lactose.
The result is dark as night and creamy as a cloud of whipped cream. Lush vanilla and candied hazelnut flavors add a touch of sweetness on top of velvety-soft layers of rich espresso.
So, whether you’re searching for your new favorite Pastry Stout, or just looking to get your daily brew/coffee fix in all at once, I think you’ll love the delectable taste of Hazelnut, Coffee, and Vanilla Bean!
Mountains Walking partnered with their friends at Imagine Nation to craft this brew-latte!
*Pro-tip: try using this decadent beer to make an ACTUAL Affogato! Start with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream or gelato, and drown it in Dessert Cart Hazelnut. Trust us, it’s the ultimate end-of-day treat!

Sheeeeeiiitt. MAJOR regrets that I only grabbed 1. I’ll be dreaming about this stout for days to come... perfection.
Taste like a good cold brew! I absolutely love this beer. I wish I could give it a higher rating. Will be hunting for this again
Smooth and delicious! Just the right amount of sweet for a pastry stout.
Smoooooth and delicious. Sorry I didn’t get more.
Hazelnut, vanilla coffee, decadent and not overly sweet!
If you you could make dessert in a pint can, here you go! Amazing black coffee bite, with a perfect blend of hazelnut and sweetness.
t’s good smooth solid not overly sweet 4.15
Pours thick and creamy. Coffee on the nose. Coffee and vanilla notes mix really well and the hazelnut is noticeable on the finish. Delicious!
Smooth and creamy...well balanced flavors of vanilla and coffee with a subtle hazelnut finish. Just the right amount of sweetness!
Smells of vanilla, coconut, toasted grains, and chocolate. Tastes sweet, milky, and chocolatey. Nice and thick, but goes down smooth.
Espresso aroma with a hint of toasted hazelnut, upfront lactose sweetness, pleasing coffee taste with vanilla notes, thin mouthfeel, roasty finish with alcohol warmth.
Very smooth, very delicious!
Nice hints of all ingredients but not overpowering.
Super smooth! Wish I got more :(
Very smooth, sweet but not overwhelming. Glad I bought three had a feeling on this one.
Heavy coffee, just enough hazelnut & vanilla. So far everything from Mountains Walking has been very tasty!
The vanilla is nice, but not getting too much hazelnut and there's quite a harsh alcohol bite
Tasty but on the edge of being too sweet
Strong hazelnut and coffee flavors. Sweet stout
Hazelnut and vanilla with marshmallow sweetness.
Rich, not cloying pastry stout
A pleasure to consume. A complex, flavorful pastry stout that tastes as described.
Definitely get the hazelnut
