Thick as kcUf. But really nice. Def a sipper. Im liken2 hours in and had beer in between. Great brew to chill with and to have as dessert.
First thing you notice is the lovely chocolate notes and the silky mouthfeel. These two combine to makes this Uber drinkable and dangerous! The vanilla and coconut really “lighten” up this beer. I see German chocolate cake. I also immediately thought chocolate tootsie rolls. I wish I had another. Hopefully this returns in the future.
I've been disappointed by so-called 'pastry' or dessert stouts before. Not this one, though. I get chocolate, and a combo of coconut and vanilla bean immediately with the pecan and more vanilla/chocolate in the finish. Damn good.
A lot going on here, but well balanced. I’m catching the chocolate and vanilla, with the coconut and pecans a little more subtle at the finish.
Even though it’s not part of the beer, I pulled a lot of hazelnut in this one
Dessert in a can....sweet and creamy!
Was a smooth and creamy stout with the perfect amount of sweetness! The strongest flavor is the pecans. Strong Stout- would order more!
Good, coconut and cocoa. A bit salty.
I am bit partial to pastry stouts so let’s preference that but my god I loved this one. All the flavors are accounted sweet like a pastry stout bit not over the top. Well balanced and well done Mountains Walking.
So smooth and silky and rich with a deep chocolate, almost espresso flavor. Delicious!
Yum! Coconut coffee to dark chocolate cocoa to vanilla.... flavors were spot on. If you removed pecans from the description, nobody would notice, the flavor was almost unidentifiable. Maybe a little light for a pastry stout but very delicious and not boozy at all despite the 10.5% ABV. Not bitter, not too sweet, roasty and bold. I imagine that that this is what stirring your espresso with a Mounds bar would taste like. Very good, glad I got a bunch.
Excellent beer!! The cocoa nibs defiantly come through with a light vanilla and coconut scent left on your palate!
Mindblowingly good. Super luscious stout and really well balanced and executed. Impressive for sure.
The pecan flavor is awesome, don't get much coconut.
Deep, rich, and lovely chocolate through and through. The coconut is a light and sweet touch, but isn’t overwhelming at ALL. I loved it.
Like drinking a chocolate liquor!
One of the best chocolate stouts I've tasted, well balanced.
A little heavy with the coconut flavor for my liking. But other than that a very nicely made stout. Creamy, rich, not too thick, not too thin, slight nutty flavor. Overall, just a good beer
Chocolately Nutty liquor!
This one really delivered. Enjoyed.
German chocolate cake in a can! Not overly sweet though. All the flavor notes are wrapped up in a creamy body. Delicious!
Terrific chocolate and nutty taste up front with a light coconut on the back end
Like drinking a brownie so delicious but definitely a rich beer worth sharing
The bitter of the nibs balance nicely with the sweetness of the grain. Great flavor provided by coconut and vanilla. Great mouthfeel, and just downright delicious!
Lke a big German chocolate cake. Little boozy but not bad. Very smooth
Great pastry stout, the flavors hide that 10.5 pretty good...
Tasted of pecans and chocolate, decent beer
Good stuff. A little sweet but tasty.
Sweet vanilla, coco, coconut flavors stood out
Very deep roasty chocolate flavors and a slightly boozy finish. Very good dessert stout
Rich with chocolate and subtle vanilla flavors that finishes smooth for easy drinking. Coconut nose that intensified as it warms.
This might one of the best stouts I’ve had in a long time. Another one I should’ve ordered more of. Damn good.
Flavor is of rich cocoa, coffee bean, pecan, caramel, marshmallow, vanilla, coconut, and pie crust. Very tasty, rich, but not cloyingly sweet. Drinks very smooth and slowly. Very good and definitely worth trying.
Can’t go wrong with pastry stouts. I wait patiently for these every time! Dark and oh so good with notes of dark chocolate, coconut and hints of Vanilla come creeping up. A+
