About This Beer
Icicle’s original Dark Persuasion Stout is a local favorite every winter, so this year they decided to raise the bar with a bigger, bolder, Imperial Stout version. It’s even more fudgy, thicker bodied, and of course, boozier than the original!
Tasting Notes
Coconut dominates the aroma, with whispers of baker’s chocolate rounding out the edges. Take a sip, and the roles reverse — it’s all fudge on the taste buds, with subtle nuances of coconut until smooth vanilla swoops in the finish.

It delivers on the G.C. cake flavor- but big issues. It is claimed as the 'darker' version of their pasty stout. It isn't dark or really that roasty in any way. If you put the glass up to a window you can see through it.
If you move it around the glass is shifts like uncarbonated cola. The mouthful is close to a Dunkel, which adds to what seems like a watered down pastry stout.

This beer has a good taste but, not great. After reading the label I expected rich coconut,vanilla, cacao and malt flavors. The first sip was disappointing.
