Cuvee - Just Cinnamon (2020)
A Note on This Beer
The reason we have just 85 cases of today’s fudgy, cinnamony decadence from Cycle is because the brewery only made a nano-sized batch.
No biggie right? Or, is it?!
Cycle’s Doug Dozark went from a Starbucks dessert coffee slinger to a Cigar City intern, to the founder and head brewer at one of the most sought-after Pastry Stout makers in craft!
He took the same innovative mindset he developed at Cigar City with him when he launched Cycle Brewing. Six years later, his brewery rocks an outstanding 4.22 rating on Untappd — it places them among the top 100 breweries in the world!
Today’s Cuvée - Just Cinnamon (2020) Imperial Pastry Stout is particularly admired by cinnamon fans.
The brewery dials in the sweet spice and amplifies it by adding the cinnamon to a rich base beer they aged for 18-20 months in top-shelf Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels.
The result is smoother than silk, fudgier than devils food cake, and thicker than a snickerdoodle milkshake.
Will you be one of the lucky beer geeks to snag one? I wouldn't wait too long, because to cinnamon lovers, this brew IS a very big deal.
*This beer is too new for ratings but we predict they’ll be sky-high!

Can’t taste the cinnamon? Whiskey forward then chocolate. Got this for the marketing around cinnamon so a little bummed I’m not getting that extra spice! Otherwise this is a solid stout
Rick chocolate booze at its best
Lots of cinnamon but still delicious
Coming from these guys, was a little disappointed cuz their stouts are great
Barrel was pretty weak but the cinnamon was strong like bull.
Rich, decadent, chocolatey and delicious.
Great cinnamon flavour with integrated barrel notes.
The cinnamon here…. It just didn’t work with the beer for me. Felt like somebody gave me a piece of big red and forced me to chew it while drinking a sweet BA stout. I had high hopes, and was slightly disappointed.
You get the Cinnamon. Stout base could be better
Wow, this is face-meltingly strong and extremely good. Barrel takes the lead over cinnamon, but it's there all right.
A beer for cinnamon lovers. Barrel & cinnamon mesh so well.
