A Note on This Beer
According to VinePair, Florida’s Cycle Brewing has “always knocked it out of the park with its barrel-aged Imperial Stouts!”
Culture Trip says they’re One of the 10 Best Breweries in Florida. And, judging by the long list of their decadent Stouts with 4+ ratings on Tavour, you guys love this crew, too!
So, when we had the opportunity to snag a brand new single-adjunct Stout from the brewery’s Cuvee Series, we jumped on it.
To create Just Almonds, the Cycle crew took their 4.33-rated Rare Dos Stout and aged it in Bourbon barrels for over 20 months!
Slivered almonds in the barrel lend a bright nuttiness and a bit of earthy complexity that balances beautifully against notes of whiskey caramel and oaky vanilla. It’s like the beer equivalent of a dark chocolate Hershey’s Kiss with almond — if they made a bourbon version, that is.
With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Almonds are not bad here.
Just as it says
Super rich awesome stout
Great nose and toasted aftertaste
Very smooth stout with nice notes of bourbon from the barrel aging. Slight chocolaty notes but almond is so subtle as to be not noticeable.
All the cuvee's are delicious. This one is no different. Just the right amount of almond, bourbon, oak, and vanilla sweetness.
Probably my favorite of the Just Cuvees. Almond works well with base beer.
Amazing Almond flavor
Decent base stout, not spectacular- don’t get tons of the almond.
I’ve had a few selections from Cycle’s Cuvée series - and this one is the best so far. Rich and creamy. Super, super smooth and balanced. The almond flavor was spot on. Delicious beer!
Bourbonny with good balance. Not overly nutty, but get a kiss of salted almond on the back end
I liked this better than I thought I would. Dark chcolate covered almonds.
delightfully smooth almond and bourbon
worst beer ever..thick as dirty oil and smells/tastes like soy sauce without the sodium..yuck
The stout base here is delightful, chocolatey, and very lightly almond. It did not deliver on that almond punch I'd hoped for, but it's delicious.
Almost as good as the Just Macadamia, but lost by a sliver. Creamy chocolate almond milk is what it tastes like. Delicious.
more fruity than almonds
Another thick, rich, barrel-aged stout from Cycle. Better for my palate than the strawberry I had earlier this week. Very similar to the macadamia nut one I just finished. Barrel-aged and tasty!
Delicious, thick and syrupy.
pretty tasty. if you’re into almonds and enjoy a mildly thicker stout, grab this next time.
always a fan of cycles barre program
Great almond flavor. Was good cold or slightly warmed.
Real nice chocolatey nutty barrel. I regret opening this solo just so I could try it with other cuvee blends but only cause it's fantastic alone and wish I could have mixed it up a bit with maybe chili or chocolate or vanilla. Medium light body, tastybooz
