A Note on This Beer
Exotic Hops: Slovenian Styrian Wolf Hops blend aromas of elderflower with flavors of ripe mango; German Grüngeist (Green Ghost) Hops impart tropical passionfruit; Czech-derived Zuper Saaz Hops add a zesty citrus kick. All of that is on top of a base of bright grapefruit and fresh pine from Chinook and Cryo Simcoe Hops! Smooth Sipping: Despite the rigorous triple dry-hopping, this juice has a clean finish with loads of soft haze to disguise the 8.88% ABV.
Now, I’ve tried my fair share of IPAs (after all, it's my job), but I’ve never tasted a hop monster quite like today’s Cryoflayer 8.88 Triple Dry-Hopped Hazy Double IPA.
Showcasing some ultra-rare European hop strains, this transcontinental brew isn’t any plain ol’ hazebomb you could buy at your local bottle shop — this is an ATOMIC hazebomb!
This sipper is a crash course in beer-education with seldom-seen foreign hop varieties. Only the most daring and adventurous hopheads will truly appreciate this masterful blend of tropical fruitiness, fragrant florals, and earthy dankness in all of its triple dry-hopped glory.
Some may call this exotic hop combo a Frankensteinian experiment, but we call it a triumph of beer-science. And it’s all thanks to the fellas at Chicago’s Marz Community Brewing.
These brewers have been shaking up the Chicago beer scene with their hoppy concoctions since opening in 2013 — Thrillist even put Marz on their list of the Best Breweries in Chicago alongside names like Three Floyds, Half Acre, and Goose Island!
But unless you have these mad beer science skills and European hop hookups, the only chance to try the innovative flavors of this rare hop cocktail is right here on Tavour. So make room in your fridge, because this atomic hazebomb is about to drop!
