Very full mouthfeel of Samoa cookies. Just like when I open a package of Samoas
Look: super dark, almost black, light tan small head that doesn’t hang around long, but left a nice ring of foam and some light tan lacing down the glass as we drank. Smell: super sweet dark roast and bittersweet chocolate up front, some blended and roasted coconut with a little booze and some caramel if you reach Taste: sweet dark roast, bittersweet (almost like bakers) chocolate, followed by some caramel notes, the coconut is hidden on the palate but present on the end nose. . The caramel is on the back end, with sweet bitter roast that hangs a while. The super trailing end of the taste is a little boozy but that is well hidden with the sweet bitter roast. No real hop presence, but if you reach you can get some on the end. Feel: full feel, almost syrupy. Light tickle of carbonation. Somewhat drying, sending you back for more. Overall this is a pretty good pastry style stout. The booze is well huddle, but warming none the less. Doesn’t really taste like the girl out cookie they have a pic of, but all flavors are there, but somewhat muddle, one giving rise to the other on the palate and on the nose. Cheers everyone!
Flavorless. I’m really surprised. A bit sweet but nothing else.
Had high hopes, didn’t fulfill. Couldn’t taste coconut or caramel. I did have some taste of chocolate.
Strong enough to put you on the floor! Drink with a friend as it is a bit strong and rich to tackle the whole bottle solo.
Very delicious, but I'm taking a half a point off because the smell of this beer is much more decadent & amazing than the actual flavor when you sip it. I would have probably been content with this beer, had I not smelled the aroma first - but it spoiled me and I would do anything to be able to actually taste it. Go heavier on the cookies next time, please? :)
Gross. Astringent. Bleh.
Strong chocolate and coconut flavors
Serve lightly chilled not super cold.
Sweet and coconut but the ending/ after taste is an oxidized oat that lingered
nice Stout! chocolate and coconut wanted more caramel but still a very drinkable stout!
Wanted more cookie, still very drinkable and nice! ABV wowed with 13%
I want more of this!
tastes like a somoa!
It was ok, but nothing too special
pretty good, not as good as I was hoping the whole time, still good time
it’s a really good beer!
decent stout a little on the sweeter side, representative of the flavors expected.
