A Note on This Beer
Big Grove Brewery might just be the coolest Midwest brewery you’ve never heard of.
- Their hoppy brews are top-notch — at last year’s US Open Beer Championships, they took home the highly competitive Gold Medal in the Juicy/Hazy Pale Ale category!
- They were named one of the Best Breweries in Iowa by the beer nerds at The Beer Travel Guide AND Culture Trip.
- Their hyper-focus on local sustainability earned them the prestigious Platinum-level Certification from the Iowa Green Brewery program.
- Their beers have never crossed state lines before now!
We’re stoked to introduce these Midwestern brewmasters to you with the Double Dry Hopped DIPA they call “one of Big Grove’s greatest Hazies” — today’s Color TV!
To make this ultra-plush juicebomb, the brewers used Mosaic and Ekuanot in the initial dry hop for underlying notes of evergreen and orange peel. Then, in the second dry hop, they added an “irresponsible amount” of Galaxy Hops to give every sip potent flavors of fresh OJ tang and candied tangerine sweetness.
The brewers told us that some locals are pretty miffed they’re even sharing it with non-Iowans at all. This cosmic hopjuice only comes around a couple times a year!
Once you’ve had a taste of all the sweet n’ pillowy citrus juice inside every can of Color TV, we have a feeling the only thing you’ll be miffed about is not discovering Big Grove sooner.

She’s a basic bi**h, but she’s got big tits.
Solid dipa. Love the smooth mouthfeel and bright tropical/orange notes.
This is more like pre HD color TV

Simple yet stellar
Great juicy double IPA
16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour with persistent creamy head. Citrusy aroma, juniper. Taste is tart, bitter citrus, grapefruit peel. Juicy and full. Really enjoying this.
Blast of galaxy on the nose while Eukanot and galaxy shine through with mosaic off in the background...not to say it doesnt hang at the party as well, just not a hop bomb i was expecting. Taste of OJ, mango, and a tad pineapple, definitely a double IPA. Mouth feel is good, little to no bitter, malt forward so much so that it brings out the alcohol taste. No oxidation or astringency to be found so bravo. Overall a delicious double IPA.
Not a fan. Probably the Galaxy hops. No detectable malt flavor, a dry,. metallic finish to me.
Too bitter for my taste, almost to dry as well.
