About This Beer
This Coconut Tree is stuffed with so many tropical flakes that a Mounds bar would be jealous!
To make it, Highland Park created a blend of three different BA Stouts. One part aged for 11 months in Old Fitzgerald bourbon barrels, a second spent 11 months in Brown Forman Rye Select casks, and a third matured in Woodinville bourbon barrels for a year and a half. After mixing the boozy infusions, the crew conditioned the brew with 21 lbs per barrel of toasted coconut — a third of it double-roasted for extra nuttiness.
Tasting Notes
Swirling your glass from your place in the shade will release creamy milk chocolate aromas that lead into dark cocoa in each sip. Barrel tones lend each velvety taste notes of oaky vanilla and spicy whiskey cinnamon. Its toasted tropicality and hazelnutty nuances — courtesy of the extra roast — lead to a bourbon finish and 13.8% ABV that’ll put you on island time in no time.
