Pretty damn tasty but a tad too sweet for me. Maybe needed a little more time to slumber? Better than a 4 but not a 4.25. Solid 4.15
So rich and tasty, lots of chocolate!
A little too much coconut for me.
Decent pastry showing, very sweet without being overwhelming. The vanilla is front and center here, the coconut is barely noticeable, but still a really solid pastry base
A little to much coconut.
Oh man, this was good. Coconut and chocolate.
Too sweet for my palate
Very good!! Super malty. Head comes up after being poured. Rich notes of molasses. Definitely a sweet stout.
Goddamn that is sweet. Still drinkable.
Cloyingly sweet. Artificial vanilla lingers on the palette. Could not finish.
The Cave never disappoints!
A little too sweet for me but was good overall
Batch 2 also solid
Thick and flavorful. Well done.
Too sweet for me and simple.
It was alright. Nothing mind blowing here.
It was ok not my fave Hubbard’s
Coco vanilla, very appropriate name!
Wonderfully coconut and chocolate.
If they toned down the sweetness it would be world class, good dessert beer.
Good, but a bit too sweet
Very smooth with a great flavor yet not too sweet. Did not notice the coconut as much as expected. Loved it wish I bought more
These brewers nail every time on the stouts!Move to Texas.
Tastes like you’re drinking a Mounds candy bar... amazing
Chilled and poured into a goblet from a 16 ounce can. Look: dark, almost black, small head little to no lacing. Smell: boozy a bit on the nose with roasted coconut, trace chocolate and vanilla Taste: sweet on the front, dark roast, sweet roasted coconut, trailing vanilla and hints of chocolate on the back end. Not at all hoppy. The sweetness, coconut and chocolate malts hide the 12% ABV very well. Feel: medium to full body, light tickle of carbonation If you read our reviews you know we love dark beers. This one was sweet, chocolatey and vanilla(y). The toasted coconut hides itself in the vanilla and chocolate . The title "Coco van" fits well. It is coco and for a 12%, we loved it.
A little too sweet and not too keen on the aftertaste. Still worth checking out.
Disgustingly sweet. So over the top, poured out.
Chocolate, coffee nice beer
A little overboard with the sweetness.
