Churro Laser Sword Fight
WeldWerks Brewing Co.
A Note on This Beer
Back in the day, my elementary school used to serve cream-filled churros at lunch time. Can you believe that? The adults must have known we would use those cinnamony, sugary breadsticks to sword fight each other.
Now, I’ve got half a mind to call up my old grade school buddies and challenge them to another duel. Only this time, we’ll be facing off to see who can slurp the most of this crushable Churro Laser Sword Fight from WeldWerks.
The Coloradan craft masters brewed this sweet n’ tangy sipper with real churros! Plus, they added in more cinnamon, a few scoops of Madagascar vanilla beans, and a splash of lactose.
A Dessert Berliner Weisse like this is super hard to come by — I can count on two hands the number of times we’ve been lucky enough to snag the style for Tavour. And, this one mixes pastry sweetness and tangy tartness in the best way possible!
It has the smooth breadiness of that famous fried dessert, rolled lovingly in cinnamon-sugar mix and topped with a streak of whipped cream. It’s even got a vanilla yogurt-like tang riding through the middle, thanks to that Berliner Weisse base!
So, maybe this isn’t the kind of churro you’ll want to waste by playing around with your friends. A hard-to-come-by beauty like this deserves to be savored and appreciated.

Tasted like churro but wasn’t heavy like a stout
Couldn’t handle the sour taste mixed with the cinnamon taste
Sweet - tons of vanilla - def some churro vibes
Is this place overhyped? All I hear is how great this brewery is. Have been a miss on two for two. This included.
Yum! Good sour flavor with cinnamon.
The end notes are spot on!
Cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, yogurt, tart, pastry
Crazy, but I LOVE IT!
Nice mellow flavor. Tasted pretty solidly like a liquid churro.
Cinnamon comes through. Rounded out with milk sugar. Similar vibe to horchata. Very unique flavor profile. Had a buttery, almost savory flavor.
I absolutely loved this beer! The flavors were amazing and being a Weisse it wasn’t heavy at all. I really hope I have the opportunity to purchase this one again!
Very mellow. Sour doesn’t make me cringe. Smell was difficult to pinpoint, but the smooth flavor is welcoming and the Madagascar vanilla can almost pass as coconut. Something screams cider... Nice
Not a bad brew. A solid one and done beer.
