Chupacabra (Batch 3)
A Note on This Beer
*Heads up — our stash is already 50% gone!*
You probably wouldn't want a live Chupacabra in your beer fridge — it'll destroy all the shelving, break your fridge light...
Worst of all, if you have any 903 beers in there, it won’t even care about sucking anyone’s blood — it’ll sink its fangs RIGHT into your stash of today’s oak barrel-aged Imperial Stout! They can drink up all its midnight-black decadence in a matter of seconds.
Which is incredibly rude, considering the fact that Chupacabaras usually snack on goats. For us craft-drinkers, a goat doesn’t hold a candle to this luxurious Dark Beer. It comes fused with heaps of hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, and coconut, for goodness sake!
Not to mention, the loads of gooey marshmallow and molasses-like turbinado sugar that 903’s dexterous brewers packed into each batch.
Ugh, the loss would be unbearable. ESPECIALLY since, once these Texas-based brewmaster’s third batch is gone, it won’t be back for who knows how long.
So, if you do encounter a real Chupacabra in your fridge, be safe. But also… do what you can to save the beer. If you dare!

Creamy vanilla, chocolate and coffee flavor. Love it.
Really good hazelnut flavor to it
Very good loved it
903 did it again! So, so good! Slightly different flavors than batch 1 & 2 but nonetheless, still amazing!
So rich with flavor- amazing job as always by 903 Brewers!!
Excellent deep rich flavor of chocolate and roasted hazelnut
Heavy coconut and cinnamon front that finishes with the vanilla and hazelnut finish. Very mellow and not as boozy as would be expected. Pretty sweet, would recommend sharing.
I wish GIFs worked here, because all I’d put is a standing ovation. This is a hell of a beer, and I wish I’d have bought more than one. The description on this one is right on the money. My only real complaint is that the can wasn’t bigger.
Very stout and sweet. Great for the style, not my style. Fortunately Mrs P likes it!
I get this everytime this comes around. Never fails to deliver.
This feel really flat for me. Super thin for a barrel-aged and really one noted.
A lot going on. Hazelnut comes across as peanut butter, which is not a bad thing in my book. Mainly PB and oak, but hints of everything else going on in between. Good, not great.
The first taste is the coconut and marshmallow and they blend well together. The cinnamon is very subtle and works well. The stout base works well with these additions.
Amazing balance of flavor. It almost smells as good as it tastes. Wonderful example of a pastry stout
Flavor is of marshmallow, vanilla, coconut, brown sugar, cocoa, pecan, hazelnut, cinnamon, allspice, and oak. Very tasty pastry stout. There are a lot of different flavors going on here and they blend together pretty well. The sweetness up front is mellowed by the dry oaky finish. I would definitely have this again.
Boozy, but it is 12.5% - the taste is amazing! Great nose and mouth feel and the blend of all of the flavors works really well. This reminds me of scrumptious dessert.
A lot going on in this batch.
Good beer. Does have a bit of a weird taste and smell but doesnt knock to many points
Another great stout from adroit theory. Chocolate, coconut goodness
The chocolate and marshmallow is balanced by cinnamon and mild spice. Still shows a good amount of sugar. The booze is hidden by all the sweetness. Best to split this one. Becomes Overly sweet as you drink
Nice mix of flavors. Dominated by the hazelnut flavor. Sweet like a pastry stout should be. A little bitter aftertaste though.
Delicious! Everything it claims to be.
Very unique profile to it. It took a second for the taste to settle, but eventually I came to really enjoy it.
When you drink something this good you want to live in every single sip. Smooth and sweet but not cloying. The individual notes of the adjuncts pop in and out as you taste it but it all blends together like a dessert-powered Voltron
Best beer I've had in a while, rich, strong, complex stout. All the flavors described are there, and they each keep coming to the forefront, then giving way to the next, then making their way back again. Soo good!
Woooowzers ! This right here is right to the gut . That put hair on your chest strong. Makes coffee taste like water . If you like it black this is for you .
Delicious Stout! Tons of flavors!
Heavy chocolate stout. Good but not my cup of tea. Too sweet
chocolate, nutty, subtle cinnamon
There is A LOT going on in this. I love a good stout with a note of one or two things like coffee or coconut or vanilla but this was just to much. My son told that he saw this one on Tavour and ordered one and he told me he couldn’t finish it. I drank about half of it and I’m done. If you like a stout that keeps you wondering what is in it , this is the answer. If the ingredients weren’t printed on the can I’d still be trying to figure out what the hell was going on in the glad. Not bad , just not my cup of tea or glass of Stout if you will.
Heavy on the cinnamon (positive thing) and balanced with the spice.
liked the flavor quite a bit but wow was this sweet - split it with a friend and still struggled to finish
lots of coconut and somehow chocolate flavors so it reminds me of a boozy Mounds bar
Excellent rich flavor
Cocoa powder and baking spices. Like a flour less chcooate cake with a southeast Asian twist. Delicious.
Great beer. Can definitely taste the coconut and hazelnut. Wish I grabbed more than one!
Tasty but Strong AF
This beer captures quite well the different flavors on the label. I can both taste and smell cinnamon, coconut, vanilla and hazelnut. The marshmallow is most difficult to discern but the overall flavor combinations are well balanced. The high gravity is offset nicely with the smooth mouthfeel and there’s no strong alcohol flavor like some beers at this gravity level. Those who like big imperial pastry stouts will enjoy this beer.
I assume those rating this beer low, are not fans of Hazelnut, which is very upfront in this beer. I'm a big fan of the stuff so this beer is a dream for me. You get a healthy dose of creamy Marshmallow and Bourbon Soaked Chocolate as well, then there is a hint of Cinnamon spice somewhere in the mix. The body is nice and viscous, but not syrupy thick which makes it almost Crushable. Beware of the that ABV though, it could put you on your ass!
Amazing! Hands down my favorite from all deliveries so far. Creamy, rich, full. All the sweetness was cut and blended perfectly with the spice of cinnamon and allspice, which also gave it a slighy carbonated texture. And a beautiful hint of marshmallow to chase it down. Absolute perfection in my opinion
Flavor is better as it lingers. Very alcoholic on the front end
DELICIOUS! very thick and heavy. Bitter at the end, but oh so good.
Lots of cinnamon flavor, very good brew
This beer is not at all misrepresented in the description. Ultimately there’s just too much going on here for me, especially as your palette adjusts to it.
Sweet and boozy
Great cinnamon flavor. Gets you nice and toasty
Dark and boozy. Makes it a very good stout!
Oh man, so many beers try to work in too many flavors and it is often times unappealing. This one is not one of those. All of these flavors mesh perfectly. The hazelnut might stand out just a pinch, but with each sip it was like a new sensation. Wonderful brew!!
Cinnamon muted via sweetened coconut
Absolutely the best beer I've ever had in my entire life. Blown away. Made all the other selections in my shipment seem not as good.
Way too sweat for me!
Can definitely tell the ABV on this on the first sip
This is unbelievable. Big beer...big flavors
Oh. My. Chocolate and hazelnuts and marshmallows and coconut. Oh my! Yes, that’s good. Hope I have another one downstairs.
Great spicy, sweet front. Weird confetti taste in the back. Trying to do too much.
Incredible mixture of baking spice and sweet pastry flavors. Rich but smooth, you won’t event notice it’s 12%!
Didn’t enjoy this, no real flavor profiles, just tasted like an overly sweet stout
Solid pastry stout. Tons of cinnamon. Picking up the chocolate marshmallow. Delightful as it languishes on the tongue.
Strong hazelnut marshmallow flavors. Good finish. Not my favorite. But I can see people really liking this. Zero oak flavor so that's a big knock for me. If you like sweet try it.
Tons of hazelnut. Surprisingly not as boozy as I expected.
Busy but it works
Wish I had more! Complex, layered beer. Starts with hazelnut on the nose then tastes of sweet coconut marshmallow with a hint of cinnamon and finished with subtle oak undertones. Curious to taste what happens as it warms!
Cinnamon sticky bun
Something very sweet about this one... like the Pillsbury cinnamon roll frosting sort of flavor
Beautiful winter beer for the roaring midnight fire. 903 has caught my attention, ill pay a visit when I'm in the area.
This has a heck of a punch. Spices in front. A hit of peanut butter after a moment of stout goodness. All flavors and aroma unexpected but totally enjoyed.
Little too much hazelnut. Very sweet. Right amount of cinnamon and marshmallow. Almost had a graham cracker taste that I did enjoy.
Such a good stout. This is the third iteration, I will be getting each of the next ones.
It was delicious. I loved every part of it.
The most amazing beer I’ve ever had. bought four cans and I reluctantly left one for the hubby.
A solid boozy dessert!
Tastes decent upfront, the hazelnut lingers and muddys the other flavors.
Pretty good, but a lot going on here with all the different flavors.
Can definitely taste the cinnamon, oak, and hazelnut! Full of flavor!
I am usually not a fan of beers with All Spice, but they used the right about and pair it with the perfect ingredients
A bit too much going on. No real clashes, but something just doesn’t fit.
Dark flavor and great stout
This beer is incredible. The chocolate be delicious + confection flavors. Cinnamon/all spice, hazelnut and a but of coconut are all noticeable. Based beer.
Very good 😊
Buddy said it was awesome
Hazelnut plus anything in a stout!
This is a rich and decadent boozebomb
Definitely got the sweetness that I was anticipating per the ingredients/flavors listed. Tasted great and though I’m not sure I could drink the full can on my own — wouldn’t say no to drinking another. Shared with some neighbors who aren’t too into Imperials, but they did like the initial flavor. All in all still a solid beer that I’d recommend trying!
A little thin, but all the flavors are there.
Not a fan of this flavor little spicy gram cracker taste
Sweet but not too sweet, lots of flavors, very coconutty, good one!
good dessert beer ! so many different flavors that took me off my ass half way through lol
Delicious! Dark cinnamon vanilla flavors I bought as a gift and regret only buying one of these. Definitely a favorite.
Overpowering on the hazelnut finish
Soft chocolate with an unique after taste.
I forgot to rate this after drinking so I’m fuzzy on the details, though I know I enjoyed it and I distinctly remember the marshmallow flavor coming through well.
nice and smooth
Lots of chocolate flavors on the sip but an easily drinkable stout. Nice beer
buying again if I see it.
insane bad boy boys brewski
Dark, sweet, smooth, strong and delicious. Just like my dad!
just really really good. Very well done
awful. smelled like an artificial candle tasted like someone just threw everything into the vat. took 4 sips.
Smooth, mixture of flavors, I would suggest dialing back the cinnamon and all spice a bit
Very nice and smooth. There's a lot going on flavour-wise here, but in good and well-coordinated ways.
This is Fall in a can. Cinnamon, all spice, hazelnuts, marshmallows, coconuts and vanilla just an amazing beer. Will buy it again!
The hazelnut and coconut compliment each so well here. Just gets better as it warms. ABV just squeezes through on lingering heat finish.
tasty, but confused
Very bold thick and luxurious flavors. It's really strong but at the same time very smooth and easy to drink. This was a nice surprise from 903!
Party in my mouth
Cinnamon, sugar, wood, HAZELNUT, and quite a few other flavours will be all over your palate. Incredible
It’s rare that all of the flavors described shine through. They meld together if a perfect symphony, each one playing their part and not outshining the others. Fantastic pour.
I don’t know what I liked more the initial taste or the coconut after taste. Simply put, to die for
Coffee coconut delicious
Toasty hazelnut really came through for me from the first sip. I wasn't hit with the boozy abv which I appreciated. As with most aged stouts the flavors get lost halfway through (for me at least), this one did a little, but not as bad. Thumbs up.
Not gunna lie. I got absolutely obliterated last weekend and cracked this bad boy up when I was blacked out drunk. Have no clue what it tastes like. From the looks of it, i spilled most on the floor, but I like to imagine I tried it and and it was delicious (not off the floor, just to clarify). Definitely buying again if and when I can. Tavour, please grant me a second chance.
one of the best tasting beers I’ve ever had. out the can I could smell the deliciousness.
This was a heavy beer, almost as if black coffee was a beer this would be the equivalent.
